Thanks guys. A big part of why In originally quit was for my wife and step-son. Ther craving is coming from a self destructive part of me that almost doesn't care if I die from cancer and almost wishes I would. Tonight in a gas station I started down a pack of smokes, vividly remebered the taste and samll and almost got sick. I went with a Vit**in Wa**er instead. (Trying not to use brand names) The XXX Antioxidants blueberry pomergranite will be my new addiction.
Thanks for all the support everyone. I knew I could count on you guys! ...and a special shout out to my April Ashkickers!!!

A big part of me misses smoking. I cant say the same for the patch.
The patch helped me with my initial quit but I hated it. The rashes, dreams, dizziness ect... the patch isnt the way you want to go.
1 Thing I use and has helped many feiends are theese tea tree chewing sticks. They are found in all naturaul health stores. They are essentially chewable toothpicks dipped in all naturaul tea tree oil...which is like a minty menthol. They make your breath smell good and give your gums a little tingle. They are totally safe and good for you too! Good luck.

When I quit smoking I had to quit drinking all together. It not only made me crave a cigarette more but impaired my judgment. It was hard... especially considering by band was playing cinco de mio parties with free margaritas and I was the only one not drinking.
Then after 1 month I slowly started to learn how to drink again. I started with 1 beer with my wife. Then slowly I got back into being able to socially have a few and be ok.

Good for you. Go to a health food satore and get Tea Tree Chewing Sticks. They are all naturaul and the size of a toothpick. They ttoally fix that oral fixation problem and make your breath smell good!
Sam,
I feel you...even after almost 250 days I still have those moments. Its years of conditioning to act a certain way. You have to re-train yourself to learn how to appreciate life on a new level in a new way.
This past year I quit not only cigarettes but also something else thats not totally legal that starts with the word W. That was also hard. I had to learn how to experience moments that I related to those things and learn how to experience them in a different, better and more healthy way.
Stay positive and stay proud.

I'm still smoke free. I was excited my 1 year was coming up but things have been horible in my life lately. Loosing everything you have can be rough but I know smoking will only make me feel worse.
