APRIL quitters !

Lolo- when your running a race and you fall, do you go back to the beginning and start over? Or do you pick yourself up and run all the much harder to prove you can still win the race? Worried about stepdown

Im a patch renegade. Despite the instructions I stepped down from the 21 to the 14 after 2 weeks. Tomarrow I will step down to the 7 mg after only 1 week on the 14. I just want to be done with it. It might be a little rough BUT I know I won't smoke no matter what. Starting week 4

Today I am 3 weeks clean. On Sunday I dared to have a beer with dinner with my wife. I was so scared that just 1 drink would make me really crave but it didn't. It was also nice I was able to taste the beer in a whole new and better way. I also have stepped down to phase 3 of the patch, even though Im still supossed to be on step 1 according to "the Rules"...but I know my body and I know I can handle it. I think the most important thing is wanting to be a non smoker deep down inside. My passion for not smoking is so strong that I am confident I will not smoke. I purposely go outside and stand next to my smoking friends and prove I can still hang. Instead of smoking I just enoy the fresh air. I think us non-smokers are entitled to fresh air breaks just as much as the smokers are entitled to their smoke breaks!

Sore Throat

Said in the Bill Clinton voice " I feel your pain" Honestly, what we're all going through is nothing compared to cancer, having to get sections of your mouth, throat removed ect...

The patch

For me smoking was me trying to chase death. Ive since stopped and started playing Russian Roulette every monring. Sound Stupid? Of course it does, but smoking is just as dumb. Remeber that! Ok So im 6 days deep on the patch. Im sure its helping me but the true addiction is the everyday routine. After eating, in the morning with coffee, ect ect. Youll find yourself thinking it's time for smoke still, like pavlov's dogs. Try to devolop new habits. I have a mint of sugar free candy after meals. When it's time for a smoke break at work I go with my co-workers. BUT instead of smoking I keep my distance andc enjoy some nice fresh air. More smoking dreams

Ive been having crazy dreams. Ive heard the 24hr patches assist with those. 2 nights ago I had a dream this movie star guy came to our house. My wife went and smoked pot with him (Something I also quit 4 months ago) and then came inside and smoked a cigarette in my face while telling me she was leaving me for him. Now the funny thing is my wife quit smokinjg months ago (she inspired me) and she doesnt get high and would never act like that. Im convinced that we are all sucked into some evil Bizaro world when we dream. Lets all meet at midnight tonight in our dreams and battle Freddy!
