I'm Angry too!

Tryagain, You have every right to feel angry. Over 100 days and still craving? Life just isnt fair that way. At least you've let me know that the feeling wont being going away. Be proud that your stronger than the craving though. And remeber, legally your allowed to kill up to 3 people while quitting smoking within the first 6 months. Its part of the patriot act! Sick A Lot

I remember years ago, gettin sick alot in the winter time. Infections ect...and I knew it was from smoking. The past 4-5 years I stopped getting sick, whichw as really scarey, I believe my body had adapted to the smoking. My guess is that your body is getting used to not smoking. I had a sore throat for the first week I quit. Sometimes it comes back. I noticed that getting off / stepping down the patch/not having anymore nicotine the same intake made me more prone to sickness also. Were you takign anything to help the quit? Another Patch Question...

So today I am stopping the patch. Ive been breaking the rules for a while now. Step1- 2 weeks, step 2 for 1 week and step 3 for 1 week. I was gonna do 1 more week of step 3 but I just wasnt abloe to get to the store. So I left the patch from yesterday on.(my last one) Does it really release anything more after 24 hours? Or am I just pretending here? Another Patch Question...

What do you mean by Im pretending? I have been smoke free and im totally fine today with no patch. Many folks on here quit cold turkey are they pretending too? I just dont feel the need to give those companies more money than I have to.

Another Patch Question...

Thanks guys, I appreciate the conern but Im cool. Today is day 2 with no patch and Im great. I really swear the tea tree chewing sticks have helped me more than anything. Leaving the old patch on for an extra day only made my chest more red. Ill admit that was a bad idea. For me personally, I find the lowering your dosages in steps fine BUT I dont eprsonally get what an extra week of 7MG patches is really gonna do for me. I only see it as delaying the withdrawl of not having a patch anymore. Phillip Morris?

I recently saw a commercial for "Help with stopping Smoking" They were advertising a support group like this one BUT it was run by Phillip Morris??? WTF??? Am I the only one who is puzzled and offended by this? To me this is like take a fitness class at McDonalds. good morning

Dexter, thats great! Sounds like your being strong because its something you really want. My wife quit and started again months ago. More recently she quit again and has stayed with it...and I followed soon after. Last night I asked her after all her hard work, why did she start smoking again months ago? She admited it was really hard when I was still smoking. Stay strong brother! Electronic Cigarettes

Im with Lainey on this one. The only thing I wish to add is that you have to really want to quit and give yourself credit in advance for being able to. Jojo, you almost sound unsure of yourself. Patches dont quit smoking, people quit, the patch is just an aid. The aid isnt what enables the quit its really your will power.

The key to weight loss...

Lolo, Water is the only thing thats really good to drink. Sugar free drink mixes are ok BUT the artificial sweeteners are terrible for your health. I like vitamin water but theres 32Grams of sugar/carbs in every bottle. I treat myself to 1 of those a day, the rest is water.
