I passed the Test!

Lainey, Good for you, although we never doubted you for a second! I don't think your feelings are "weird", I've had some sad thoughts as well (I guess it's like mourning the passing of an old friend). Congratulations on remaining smoke free!! See you at the beach! :)Dupe My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 57 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 865 Amount Saved: $182.4 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 5 Mins: 1 Seconds: 30

Hey I'm Mitch

Mitch, We all have strong triggers (that morning cup of coffee, a good cold beer, etc.) that we fear we won't be able to fend off once we quit- but we can. Please don't let your fear stop you from taking that first step- we will be here to help you. Welcome to the site and please keep us posted! Need help with smoker in the house

I posted some of this on her introduction thread, but happy to share again. My husband continues to smoke but has been supportive of my quit. Before I quit we never smoked in the house or while our kids were in our cars, so smoke smell in my house has not been an issue. I do notice that when he drives my car he will smoke, but I think it is more out of habit than spite- when I get in and smell that stale smoke smell I am just thankful I don't smell like that anymore! When I find something interesting or very touching on this site I share that with him. I do not though in any way pressure or suggest to him that he should quit. I think we all have to quit on our own terms when we are ready. I have actually been very proud of myself on several occasions when I walk into the garage- and right past his smokes- and go on about my life. Our will to remain smoke free has to be stronger than our will to smoke. Best of luck to you need2quit! March Mellows

Bobbi, Welcome back! Lainey had a BIG party over the weekend, but you and I missed it- I think it's time to launch another one. Glad to hear you're still smoke free after taking care of your family. Just don't forget to take care of yourself too!
