Hi Mitch. You definitely found the right spot for support. I suggest that you take some time to read, read, read lots of posts here - it will enlighten you. Also, use the workbook tools to the left. If you learn more about nicotine addiction and your individual habits and smoking triggers, it will make things much easier. We'll be here when you are ready. Hey I'm Mitch and I'm brand new to this site. I havn't actually quit yet, or set a date. I started smoking through peer pressure at 13, and have regretted it to this very day. I actually don't like smoking. I want to quit because of this, not so much because of my health. I havn't smoked the whole time, I seem to quit for 2 years and then take it up again for 2 years. Usually the reason for quitting, has not been because of me ie. I quit once, because me and my husband totally ran out of money and I quit twice because I was pregnant. When I get stressed, I am not usually running for a cigarette, to calm me down, it's more that the cravings step up and I havn't got enough will power to resist them and deal with the stress. My other big down fall is when I am drinking, I actually love a cigarette then. So this is me. Wish me luck. I want to do it. Mitch
