I...quit!

We are all here to help you and talk you though this. My hubby quit 4 days after me, but we live with 2 other smokers so i understand how you feel. It is a bit harder when you have people around you who smoke, but when you are doing this for the right reasons you will find that nothing will stop you from attaining your goal. Good luck and know that it gets easier as the days pass by. Just check in with us often and know that know matter what you feel, someone here has been through it. +++ OK here's the plan, what do you think?? +++

OK, I guess I will put in my two cents now. For me I used the patch of two days. Then I took it off and didn't use one again. I told myself it wasn't working so when I took it off the withdraws would, hopefully, seem less severe. I don't know if they really were or not, but it worked for me. But I just had to get all the nic out of my system so that it had less time to play with my head first hand....and it was only the habit that was left. That is hard enough to deal with alone, without the constant state of detox. And for me, yeah, after the 3rd day, I felt a lot better, less symptoms, but still had/have a hard time sleeping. But now, I rarely crave a cigarette, although I think about them still daily. I also adopted two mantras I see here all the time and they have helped me to just get through the hard times. Smoking is not an option and NOPE...because like so many others, I know if I have one it would never be enough. And if all else fails, read the posts by Joe Cool. By the time the tears stop running, you will be over the crave :) Good Luck and let me know how it goes. I'm having a really hard time

We are here for you Kayla. I hope that you start to feel better soon, but if not remember, like everyone before me said it will pass! You will get through today and tomorrow and find the days getting easier. I know how hard it is when you have little ones looking up at you wondering what's wrong, but just stick with it. She will understand what's going on. Maybe not today, but someday. Remember that you are doing this for her and her future as well as your own and it will be possible. Is she old enough to talk to her about this? My oldest, she's 12, has been one of my rocks. And as hard as it is to depend on your child, it shows you that you are doing a great job at parenting too. She will be there for you when it is at it's hardest, because you are her mom and she loves you. Let her be there for you. You deserve this life that you want so bably. So go ahead and take it. Stay with us girl. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 792 Amount Saved: $255.75 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 6 Mins: 7 Seconds: 1
