Really happy for you that you are not having any cravings! What a wonderful thing to be a non-smoker. :) Enjoy the times you feel this way, and remember this feeling for the times those nico-thoughts creep in. Congrats in your great quit.

yes, the slipping posts can be hard to handle sometimes. but thats what this place is for. To offer support to everyone that asks for it. And the knowledge that people are being honest enough to admit that they slipped is a part of why I find this site so helpful. I can believe that, overall, everyone is being honest because some people are admitting that they are having a hard time. I did find a post that was extreamly helpful to me in the slipped section, I bumped it if anyone missed it the first time, and for anyone new like me, who it may just help. I know I won't smoke again after reading it. Good Luck in your quit and just remember to take from the board what you need and the rest, while helpful to some, may be of no importance to you.

I just had to bump this for all the newbie's wondering if they are doing the right thing. Thanks Mrs. Kool, for sharing your husband with us. He made this quit, the last quit for many.

Good Morning to everyone. (except to the nicodemon - you are no longer welcome here, we are free)
I was just thinking that we need to hear more about rewards. I don't know about anyone else, but it makes me happy to hear what all my new friends are planning for their rewards. So, I wanted to start this thread and see what we are all doing. Who knows, it may help to pump up a newbie in their resolve to reach their goal. So here goes, I will start.
My hubby and I are planning to take the kids on their first trip to Disney.....a wonderful Smoke-Free trip. This will be our 1 year reward, although with ticket limitations we may have to go a couple weeks early :)

Congratulations on your Day 2. This quit is my first time trying the site, and also the first time my quit has lasted to Day 21. So it must be a wonderful place. I didn't even plan to quit till I happened to this one day and it all just kinda happened. Now, I am a former smoker who thought I would always be a smoker, and proving myself wrong. I know you can do it too.

I remember, not too fondly, Day 1 and 2. Everyone spent the day just waiting to see when I was going to break. I would be fine and then all of a sudden, just start laughing for seemingly no reason. Now I believe it had to do with how proud I felt of myself, how good I was doing. After all, everyone I know is still slive and that's a great start.

Thanks Aunt Deb. Althoggh lately the weather is callinmg for snowsuits, I think, it's -30 out there. But you are right, up and out is the only way to go. Monday came and I had chauffeur duty taking everyone, everywhere. But boy did it help. It made me get up and get out of the house. I was also forced to remember how many people I have supporting me here, even if some of them are smokers :)
And the best supporters of them all, my 2 girls. They are so proud of mom.
