Ahhh....the air here is more wonderful than I remember it was when I was a kid running to play on the shore. We live directly across the road from the beach...on a long country road running along the harbour. So beautiful and the smell of the salt water in the air, so refreshing. One thing I will miss so much when I move back to the city. But at least i will have civilization on my side then :) LOL My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 46 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,161 Amount Saved: $379.5 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 7 Mins: 23 Seconds: 0

Hey there Bear Once again, Changing said just what I was thinking, but quicker than I could think it :) The only thing I want to add is, and please don't take this the wrong way, but..... I think your scared. If you have been really quit for the last 13 days like you say you have, then you are more committed to this then you are willing to admit to yourself. You don't just quit an addiction, or addictions, like this and then afterwords decide if you really wanted to. You decide first, consciencely or sub-consciencely, then you quit or continue to smoke. You may slip, or fall back, or whatever term you prefer, but you were ready to quit, you did quit. You quit on March 21st and have not smoked since. Remember that and take the time to think about how amazing that is....did you really think last year you would be able to go 13 days without a single cigar? Now you just need to stay quit. And you know this, I know you do.......For me, it's proving to myself that I can do this. Now that's off my chest. You do whatever you are going to do, you are then one who has to live with the choice you make, you know that by now. But whatever happens, the SSC will still be here to encourage you to enjoy a smoke-free life. p.s. I hope I was not too harsh, it's just that I know you can do this. Sorry My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 47 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,184 Amount Saved: $387.75 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 8 Mins: 56 Seconds: 36

Respect for Rewards

Rewards are a tricky thing. You will have to find out what works best for you when it comes to making yourself appreciate your decision to quit each day......Because that's what a reward does, it makes you feel good about what a good job you have done, but it also draws attention to it and gives you the chance to think about how you have benefited in this process.... maybe i'm not making any sense now.. I turned 50 today

Just wanted to take a minute to toot my horn and say whoohoooo I can't belive that I have been 50 days quit today! I never thought that I would be able to do it but here I am, and best of all, hubby will be celebrating his 50 days in 4 more days!! What a great weekend it's going to be, our family's 1st smoke free holiday! We went out to get easter stuff today and actually had enough cash to get what we wanted, all that saved money we have now. And no rush to get out of the stores to have a smoke......even handled the long drive well. This is terrific! Thank you everyone, and especially my special Febulous Februarians, for everything you do to help me through this :) You have all been wonderful, and so important to my success as a quitter :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 49 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,244 Amount Saved: $404.25 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 13 Mins: 3 Seconds: 8
