Kayla, you're walking through the fire right now... but it won't last. A couple more days and it will get easier. The physical withdrawal will quiet considerably. I know it's difficult, Kayla, but this is your life. And you CAN do this. We have, and so can you! We're here for you! Ok this is getting really hard and I can't stop crying. I want a smoke soooo bad but I won't. I'm better not eating cause that when I feel it most. Also my guy just left and might move out today so the anxiety level is high. I'm going to take my daughter out shopping and I'm stressing the car ride without a cig. It's hard to believe I let cigarettes control my life for 26 years urgh!!! We are here for you Kayla. I hope that you start to feel better soon, but if not remember, like everyone before me said it will pass! You will get through today and tomorrow and find the days getting easier. I know how hard it is when you have little ones looking up at you wondering what's wrong, but just stick with it. She will understand what's going on. Maybe not today, but someday. Remember that you are doing this for her and her future as well as your own and it will be possible. Is she old enough to talk to her about this? My oldest, she's 12, has been one of my rocks. And as hard as it is to depend on your child, it shows you that you are doing a great job at parenting too. She will be there for you when it is at it's hardest, because you are her mom and she loves you. Let her be there for you. You deserve this life that you want so bably. So go ahead and take it. Stay with us girl. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 792 Amount Saved: $255.75 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 6 Mins: 7 Seconds: 1

Kayla, Hang in there. Sometimes all we can do it take it hour at a time. Try journalling those feelings out or taking it to the pavement with your daughter. Keep busy and be kind to yourself in the days to come. Danielle _______________________ The SSC Support Team

Hang in their Kayla. It does get better. Take some deep breaths and drink plenty of water. Can you go for a walk? Exercise really helps.

Hi Kayla, Congrats on getting through Day 1! You are off in the right direction. What strategies have you got in place for those tough times? The first week can be a bear and so if you can distract yourself you'll be in good shape. Also, drinking lots of water (especially if you are crying) and cutting back on caffeine will help. Don't forget to reward yourself too. A bubble bath, a movie on the couch, some herbal tea - anything that will make you feel good. If you can hang tight you can do it just one day or one hour or five minutes at a time! All the best My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/5/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 955 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 19,112 Amount Saved: $4297.5 Life Gained: Days: 73 Hrs: 16 Mins: 31 Seconds: 58
