Bypass,
Yikes! Just the thought of the procedure gives me the willies! You just added reason #64,532 not to smoke! I hope you are doing really well and have a speedy recovery. Congratulations on 125 days!!!!

Thanks Josie. Guess not a common feeling at that time in the quit. It was so strange though and came out of nowhere. I haven't had it again. I've read where many that stop smoking get sleepy for the first couple of weeks but I never felt that way so the sensation was a surprise to me. Still hanging in.

Hi Alley,
Not that I picked my quit day for any reason other than just being fed up with smoking and anxiously waiting for results from my chest x ray, ...But it turned out to be Earth Day. So, that suits me just fine. Kind of my way of giving back to the Earth which has given me so much:)

Pen,
You bring up an interesting point. Cuddles said that she had popped in on some of the groups. Now, not being a chat room sort of gal, are there other places on this site for folks to post? Do the monthly clubs have a secret tree-house? Sorry to revisit what you all have seemed to already resolve.
Newbee, Joonie

You know Tojo,
It would be even crazier if you smoked a real one!
Congrats on not smoking, NOPE!

Kizzer,
You have written some strong words. It's difficult to conjure up a mind-view of what that many not smoked cigarettes look like. So, congratulations anyway. You should be very, very proud! Thank you for being so inspirational.

Sadie,
You sound so strong....Fantastic! I have yet to get on my boat for a ride since I quit for the exact same reason. I know it is going to be a huge crave-fest for me since the boat is, I mean WAS, one of my very FAVORITE places to smoke. I would put in a CD, open a beer and light a cig. I may come looking for you when I get the courage to cast off cause this is where I am going to miss smoking the most. Thanks for bringing up such a tender (no pun meant) subject. You are doing GREAT!

Hey Cuddles,
You are doing great! 24 Big Ones! You know the line, "It is 5:00 o'clock somewhere!"? Now we can say, "There is a full moon somewhere!" I feel your pain but honestly, you are doing really well. Just keep remembering how far you have come and let that be one of your motivators!
Best,
Joonie

Fish,
What a wonderful post! Can we add a pinch of another ingredient? Thanks for the recipe.

Hang in there!!!!
You know, during one of my quits that is almost exactly what I did. I kept a 1/2 smoked butt in the tray of my car and every once in a while would pull it out and say to my self that I could have it if I really wanted it. Well, I never did smoke that particular butt but several months and pounds later started back up. So I do not advocate this method of quit. That was many, many moons ago and I wish I had stuck with it. The SSC gang is here for you! All said and done, you need to do what you have to to keep your quit!
Best,
Joonie
