Stomach pains

Hey X-smoker, I should have also put in my post that I was ready to head for the doctor's if my symptoms didn't subside. Man! It was not fun at all! Mine lastest about 7 hours and then I fell asleep from pure exhaustion. Woke up the next morning feeling much better. But I sure did think about the emergency room a time or two. Hope you are doing better! Seductive Smell

Not going to smoke but Wow what a struggle tonight. I was at our neighborhood TGIF that is held once a month and could smell the smoke from the smokers on the outside deck. For some reason hit me like a ton of bricks tonight. THEN there was a little basket beside the door with a couple of packs of cigs and a lighter! Gosh. I picked up a pack and luckily it was empty. I did not pick up the remaining pack. Boy, do I feel like a junky! Just thought I would share the my feelings. Thanks! That was fun

Hi Nascar, Congrats on 5 days! Fantastic! Hang in there and this crazy stuff will pass. My husband and I have been having to deal with each other's moods and my roller coaster craves too. Which by the way was pretty intense end of first week going into the second. Heck, we really didn't even talk to each other for a whole week! It hasn't been pretty but we are beginning to make the necessary adjustments and see the light at the end of the tunnel. My husband doesn't smoke so it is different from your situation. I imagine it must be really difficult at times when your husband is smoking and seems to be enjoying it. In the long run though, you know you are doing the best thing and that in time, it won't bother you. Maybe he'll quit too! And on the not much support thing, well I think on the weekends folks are busy with family and such and don't have much time to respond to posts. You know the folks here are ready to help at a moments notice. Try to remember this is your quit and don't let it slip for NOBODY! Hey, I had the smoking dream last night. Scared the dickens out of myself and remembered being really disappointed in my dream (safe way to find out how you will feel after a slip)! So you hang in there and just don't smoke! Like you said it isn't going to change a thing. So, go see a movie, plant a garden, go shopping or go for a girls night out. Hope the rest of your weekend is all downhill for you! A smooth sea never made a skillful mariner. - unknown Lunatic Joonie My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/22/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 28 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 573 Amount Saved: $98 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 3 Mins: 9 Seconds: 38

1st Try......Can it be?

Hi ItsIronic, Actually my Dad quit smoking for good on his very first try and and successfully quit drinking alcohol that very same day. He also lost weight in the first 6 months (that he needed to) of his quit. So you are doing GREAT and can certainly do this quit thing. It can be done the first time! Please, Please learn from all us repeat quitters......It is not fun to quit over and over. If you do like me and keep failing to quit, before you know it the years sneak up on you and you'll find yourself smoking for another 20 years. Don' let that happen to you! You are doing FANTASTIC! A strong person and a waterfall always channel their own path. - unknown Joonie My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/22/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 28 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 574 Amount Saved: $98 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 3 Mins: 14 Seconds: 21

Seductive Smell

After the smoke exposure from last night, I woke up this morning and had had the SMOKING dream. Boy, am I predictable or what. I watched those folks smoking last night and it obviously made quite the impression on me. And then today at a neighborhood yard sale, same thing, several people were smoking which brought back some craves. But I think there is a pattern that I have noticed about these craves. If I haven't regularly been taking vitamins, the cravings seem much worse. So, I need to try to remember to take them and make it easier on myself. And hey Bingo, I can't wait for us to hit the one year mark together and the cravings, what cravings! stage. :) Joonie My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/22/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 28 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 573 Amount Saved: $98 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 3 Mins: 7 Seconds: 15
