A Far To Complacent Attitude Toward Quitting.....

Felt I would bump this for all to see again. We must move with caution.... Hi To Florida Girl

While at the local drug store today I spoke to a beautiful young lady who was working the check out. Sadly, she smokes cigarettes and is only 20 years old. I probably sounded like her grandfather about it but I asked her to just come here and read and maybe consider joining. If she does, as promised, make her welcome. 1 week

Yes, one week is [size=4]HUGE![size=2] Remember, you have got to get the first week out of the way before you can get the second, the third, etc. At the moment it may not seem possible...but I can assure you, after a while...time flies. Take real pride in what you are doing and shout it at the top of your new lungs. I actually think now still in terms of the next 24 hours...even with the time I have been blessed with. You need to too. New to this

Rog, If you will indulge me, we are all New To This. You see, it is as simple as having to wakeup every day with another 24 hours to manage nicotine free. Then, to further simplfy it, it really is broken down to each and every cigarette not smokes, chewing tobacco not plugged, or even snuff not used. By doing this...it really will be more manageable for you. Yet, you still have got to prepare with developing a bag of coping tools. These need to be kept at the ready to ward off the monster when he trys to sneak back into your life. Those might include: 1. Deep Breathing, 2. Sometype of hard candy, 3. Straws cut to the length of your previous cigarettes (this one worked wonders for me as I drove thousands of miles in our motor home.), 4. Material that can really show the Dangers of Smoking, 5. Some type of nicotine replacement therapy (here the patches were a blessing to me), 6. Rid your home and work area from the smells and odors of tobacco, 7. Avoid smokers as they usually want you to fail...etc, etc. See it is easy if you work at it hard enough. I wish you well. Hi To Florida Girl

Yes, hello to you. Take real pride in having the guts and sense to get at it again. To quit, fail, and restart is allowed (a few times), to quit, fail, and never try again is stupid. See, even this nicotine head Bubba can do it. I had a horrific disease a fews years ago (hantavirus) and was assured that had I still smoked...you would not have to post to. A lot of folks have come under this bridge since you were here. I can tell you that alot were successful and found it best not to continue postings as often as me. Others sadly were so disappointed when they failed they went quitely away. I bet that even if they smoke again now...they take a peek here from time to time. May others will see the light at the end of the nicotine tunnel. Again, thanks for remembering me I know where you live and I will be watching ;) ...do not fail me this time. HELP ME GET THROUGH THIS PLEASE

Cuddles, I have finally found a lady in my widowed life and frankly do not have the time to come to your house and have one of those Come To Jesus talks with you. To that end, stop thinking that junk. You know you are stronger than that piece of cess pool - the nicotine monster. Tell hubby that 2 is to many. 3 a week can produce the same damaging effects as 3 packs a day. Do not doubt this, it is a fact. As I often do here, go the Australian Governmental quit site. Click on the Smokescreens and fasten your seat belt as you peruse what that junk has done to young peoples organs...the 31 year old lady with the lung pic is my favorite - If anyone on this site can visit there and then fail in staying quit, then they need a check up from the neck up. You can do this. I really need you to buckle down and do this. Bubba (Lindsey) PS - I am awarding you a Gold Star for your effort to date and would like to award you ballons at one year...do we have a deal? Just Checking In....

Help is on the way!!!!!!!!!! A new product is on the market that looks like, smells like and taste like regular chocolate. yet, it is a diet version and promises to help us trim a few pounds. I will try and remember the name of it and post back here. I am going to stab at the name from a bad memory --- lulite...dulite something like that. I will search it out and post to you. The people interviewed raved about it. See, help is always there when we ask for it. Great time to know this too, with Easter just around the corner and all those bunnies.
