Hi To Florida Girl

Hi Bubba, I remember you from when you first quit! I quit smoking about four years ago (lasted 1.5 years)you were a member then. Unfortunately I started again. It is 3 years later and I am at it again (on day 5 now). Oh how I envy you, I wish I had stuck with it. Anyhow, it is really great to come back and find someone familiar. And congratulations on your quit!

I hope Melissa shows up I think it is important that we set an example for young people and not nag them. I pray that I am successful in my quit and that it is not too late to set and example for my children before they get caught by that dreaded nico-demon. My youngest who is 6 has been on me "Mommy, I want you to quit" It breaks my heart to hear him. My oldest is 15 and I fear that she may fall into the clutches of the monster that I am fighting My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 5 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 100 Amount Saved: $37.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 10 Mins: 46 Seconds: 24

Thanks, shout outs annoy me too and I should have known better. I just hope the young one does at least come and read. I only see her on Sundays so I will casually drop around and she if she mentions it. Again, NO SHOUT OUTS HERE or Josie will get you with the magic keyboard. ;) Lindsey My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/10/2001 Smoke-Free Days: 1647 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 98,835 Amount Saved: $16470 Life Gained: Days: 339 Hrs: 21 Mins: 21 Seconds: 35

Yes, hello to you. Take real pride in having the guts and sense to get at it again. To quit, fail, and restart is allowed (a few times), to quit, fail, and never try again is stupid. See, even this nicotine head Bubba can do it. I had a horrific disease a fews years ago (hantavirus) and was assured that had I still smoked...you would not have to post to. A lot of folks have come under this bridge since you were here. I can tell you that alot were successful and found it best not to continue postings as often as me. Others sadly were so disappointed when they failed they went quitely away. I bet that even if they smoke again now...they take a peek here from time to time. May others will see the light at the end of the nicotine tunnel. Again, thanks for remembering me I know where you live and I will be watching ;) ...do not fail me this time. While at the local drug store today I spoke to a beautiful young lady who was working the check out. Sadly, she smokes cigarettes and is only 20 years old. I probably sounded like her grandfather about it but I asked her to just come here and read and maybe consider joining. If she does, as promised, make her welcome. Bubba, Your doing a wonderful service for this young lady. I have edited her name and left the area she was in. I hope she checks this out! Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
