Here is a secret for you that I would ask you to ponder and understand...This is not my invention, this is something that has been discussed by a very influential man in the area of smoking cessation...What you desire is to feel like a non-smoker, because unlike us, non-smokers don't get cravings...Thats a fact...Now the only time that smokers don't get cravings (which is the state you wish to attain) is when they have a full shot of nicotine in their bodies...So that is when you feel like a non-smoker...That would be fine, except for the uncomfortable fact that once the body senses that the nicotine has taken a powder, your brain (and mine) starts to crave...So what is the answer? Its the ingestion of nicotine that makes us feel like a non-smoker...The cigarette is the creator and recreator of the need...Once purged from mind (the difficult part) and body (the slighly less difficult part) YOU FEEL LIKE A NON-SMOKER...Which is the state you desire to obtain...I know this will sound a bit silly, but once you get the reality of this trap, you will have a better understanding of the addiction and understanding is the key...
Hang tough there my friend, we are all on your side and there are many wonderful and articulate souls here who will speak to you in a way that helps you truly understand the trap in which we all are ensnared...It is the irony of the addict...Generally I find irony to be interesting, in this case I find it to be an ugly truth.
