Still Smoke free and DONE WITH THE DENTIST!! It was rough and still is but I have a few days off now to rest. He says that I have a lot more that I need but we don't have to deal with it untill something hurts. Anyways, that is the last thing I want to deal with. It was kind of hard to go through the dentist stuff and not smoke but I did it. Smoking would not have made it any easier. All my obsessing about it was probly the worse part of everything. I think that I might have a hard time with all the time off I'm going to be having now. (I'm not going back till July 10th. a previously scheduled vacation) But at least my daughter doesn't have any cigs in the house!!! She is on day 6 cold turkey!!! I will still be checking in every day, we aren't really doing anything but resting for vacation. I plan on doing a lot of work around the house which I may or may not actually do. I know I am getting my carpets cleaned. But I will be checking in a little later everyday. I'm so proud of the June-bugs! We are doing soooo well. Everybody check in and say what method you are using to quit. It will help us get to know each other better. I am using wellbutrin and patches. Sure it is Zany and welcome to the June-bugs! We will be here for you. I'm sorry you had so much trouble but you might have learned some triggers and be able to figure out where the rock you stubbled on was so you can avoid it this time. I also had a slip and let me tell you this is about my millionth time of "trying" but this time I am doing more than "trying" I am "doing"! At least that is 7 months less damage you have from smoke. Mark, Welcome, we are really a pretty good group of quitters. We have already been through a lot together. It is the end of the month and I have been through hell and heck week twice!!! Now wasn't that silly and stupid of me? But I made it. We have really had some tough craves and posted for help. I think that at the end of the day today, I will see if I can go through and retreve all of the names and then we can see who we might have lost and who we still have. I will need to have some time to go through it though so I will go through this thread tonight and do it. So if you are a lurking June-bug that hasn't posted on this thread yet, post today and I will pick you up on the list tonight. Checking in for Tuesday. Still going strong and actually feeling pretty good. I have a dentist appointment on wend. that I am feeling stressed about but I think I have finally completely convinced myself that smoking wouldn't help the stress so not even thinking about it. I'm still scared half out of my wits though. We'll see how it goes but non-smokers have dental problems too and they don't smoke about it! My daughter, Melony, has three days quit today and I am so proud of her. She has no interest in the boards but I signed her up so she could have a quit meter. She is going cold turkey. STAY QUIT JUNE-BUGS!!! Hi, Mama checking in. I am still smoke free and still dealing with some cravings. Mostly because I have to go the dentist today and have a tooth extracted and I am really really afraid of dentist. I will be better after it is over I am sure. I just have to keep telling myself that it won't help at all to smoke. As a matter of fact, the reason that my teeth are so lousey is because of smoking for 35 years. If that ends up being the only long term consequence, I will be doing good. Anyways, still not smoking. Nomad, I'm really glad that you decided to reset your meter, because it feels a lot more honest doesn't it. I tossed about it too, but I decided that not reseting it would be like being a "secret smoker". Anyways, I have made it through hell week for the second time now and so will you, just stay with us. Jacko, welcome to the June-bugs, be sure to check in and let us know how you are doing. We will be here. If you are having a really bad time though, It's good to post on the relapse prevention threads because then you will get responses from everyone on the site. I read your posts ann, I'm so glad you made it thour and are feeling better. Hi Chuckb2, glad to meet you and congradulations on an awsome 3 days! Skiddo, I'm soooo glad we are both still here. Hey, here is the new June-bugs roll call thread. (We were up to 10 pages) We are the people who quit smoking and started living in June of 2006. Join us! Checking in and I made it though a weekend, and made it through Hell week for the second time. Anyone thinking about slipping and smoking, don't do it... All it does is set you back and make it harder. I would be on day 26 now, but day 8 is good. Anyways, I made it though. It's so much easier with my daughter not smoking and not having any cigarettes in the house. How is everyone doing?
