I went way over my calorie plan today, but I did 30 minutes on the treadmill, so hopefully it will balance out. b - peach yogurt, golean mixed in s - body for life protein bar l - caesar salad and broccoli cheddar soup at Boston Market, unsweet tea d - ziti with chicken, broccoli, alfredo sauce, water I bought a bathing suit at Target so I can take aqua aerobics at the Y. Well, it's not really a bathing suit...it's exercise shorts and a top, but it's a step anyway. I'm going to try to replace walking with a swim a couple of times a week to give my joints a little break. Lady, is that breakfast I see with your coffee!? I'm proud of you! You must be getting very excited with graduation day coming up soon. Hummy, glad to hear your son is healing. I've been eating pretty cleanly but not much exercise to speak of. Yesterday: b - peach yogurt with golean l - harvest cobb salad (turkey, pumpkin seeds, cranberries, raisins, gorgonzola cheese, pear), slice of honeydew melon d - tuna/hardboiled egg on a whole wheat bagel s - 100 calorie oreo chips Today: b - yogurt smoothie s - bfl protein bar l - chicken salad/romaine/apple d - turkey bacon wrap on soy tortilla from Subway Rusty :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/13/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 486 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 13,631 Amount Saved: $1701 Life Gained: Days: 66 Hrs: 23 Mins: 17 Seconds: 16

Wendy, I am so sorry about your friend's son. I know how much that hurts and my thoughts are with you and your friends. I've been slacking on my exercise since I got back from NYC -- had a bad cold for 3 weeks and then just couldn't get back into the routine. But I've made a recommitment to myself to not lose the benefits I've gained over the past year. For me it isn't about losing weight so much (although I will continue to work on getting rid of about 5 more pounds), but more about my health and quality of life. I went to the Y yesterday and did this routine on the treadmill: 10 minutes warm up 5 minutes fast as I could 5 minutes recovery 5 minutes fast as I could 5 minutes recovery etc 5 minutes cooldown for 30 minutes total Stretch Have a great holiday weekend everyone! Hummy, I'm still around but only sporadically now. I peek in during the day sometimes, and try to focus on new quitters when I do. My nights are very tied up now, because as soon as I'm done at work I'm either teaching English to speakers of other languages (I have a group on Mondays and a private lesson on Wednesdays) or at the gym or buying groceries or some odd thing. Sorry to abandon you guys! Rusty :)

Healer, I'll mail you some! Are you using the forums at sparkpeople? I wanted to tell you that I used a recipe from there...Greek Spinach and Chickpeas...it was wonderful. Hummy, hoping all is well for your son and you. Rusty :)

Hummy, sorry about your son. I know this is a huge anxious and stressful time, so you will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers. Healer, I wanted to thank you for turning me on to the rosemary/olive oil triscuits. My husband and I both love them! Rusty

Haven't lost a pound, but was able to squeeze into a couple of pairs of last year's pants. Today I worked out at the gym (40 minutes of cardio and the machines). b - golean crunch mixed with lowfat yogurt and strawberries l - bfl protein bar, sweet red pepper slices with hummus and triscuits d - will be baked chicken, spinach, and salad. Have a great week! redrosie...We don't have to worry about calories with virtual cake, so that chocolate lava cake was gooey and sweet and loaded!!! lol Be sure to post even when you aren't good -- that keeps you accountable and aware of how you're eating. healer, congratulations on fitting into your jeans!!! That is a major success. On another site I go to they call it a NSV - non-scale victory! Thanks, Josie, for checking in on us. You can log, too, you know! When's that diet site coming? Yesterday: b - scrambled egg, ww toast l - tuna sandwich, salad d - grilled chicken wrap Rusty :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/13/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 479 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 13,421 Amount Saved: $1676.5 Life Gained: Days: 65 Hrs: 22 Mins: 34 Seconds: 51

3galeh, thanks for starting the new thread! The old one was getting long and I was thinking about that this past weekend. You don't have to keep using my name in the intro, though -- lol. I had a pretty good day yesterday although my weight bounces 2 or 3 pounds every day. Maybe I should just weigh once a week. In fact, that's my goal this week. Stay OFF the scales! Yesterday: b - peach yogurt with golean mixed in l - giant salad with fruit, greens, gorgonzola cheese d - stouffer's vegetable lasagna (420 calories -- ooops!) Exercise: 10 minute warmup on bike, 8 strength training machines, 20 minutes on treadmill, and then yoga class. Whew! Be healthy - stay well! Rusty :) ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/13/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 478 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 13,395 Amount Saved: $1673 Life Gained: Days: 65 Hrs: 19 Mins: 18 Seconds: 8
