So IS Chantix like Wellbutrin?

Ewww - Wellbutrin was not my friend! Actually I almost lost friends taking it! I am very easy going but on Wellbutrin I lost the "tact" trigger and said exactly what was on my mind with no filter. Not pretty! I LOVE Chantix. I feel great and have had no serious side effects - like being a mean, nasty, b$#$h! Good luck to you! Your one most Prized Benefit

...that I can tell my daughter I am truly a non-smoker. I feel so much guilt that she smokes and hope when she sees my quit she will do the same. Great thread! NEED A LITTLE HELP

Duffis - my aunt has done the Canadian train trip several times and says it is her favorite trip (and she has been around the world). My husband and I are BIG travelers - at least 1-2 trips a year to enjoy the scenery. I love Maine in the fall (which someone said would come this year although I'm not sure with this heat!), Montana and Wyoming are beautiful if you enjoy wide open spaces. Alaska and Banff Canada are little pieces of heaven as well. But my favorite (which I am sure is due to my love of wine) is Napa Valley. Fresh cool air, wine, great food - you can't beat it! Oh, and I had better include TN since that is where we live half the time and its beauty is ageless. Good for you and Pete - I hope you enjoy no matter where you go. I heart the SSC....

Great topic unhooked! I have never been much of an message board person - not at all. Why sit in front of a computer when I don't have to anymore - well, when I decided to quit I knew I needed help - and not from my husband (who has never smoked) or family (that I couldn't be brutally honest with) - I needed people who knew what it was like and could help me when I needed it and tell me to cowboy up when I needed that too. This is the place! I was sooo impressed with the program information and it has been invaluable to me these last five days. Get used to me folks - I plan on being here a long, long time! Day 5 - No problem!

Okay - I'm not getting too excited here, but I am feeling WAY too good about this quit! I'm realistic and I have had a few super bad moments but all my triggers aren't getting me down. I even dreamed I had quit smoking and was happy about it. Yes, the voice still tells me its time to smoke but now it is more of an annoyance than anything. This site and the wisdom on it are invaluable. I don't just think I can quit, I KNOW it! Thanks for all the support - again, remind me of the post when I lose my mind in the next few weeks! Thursday Night Bonfire!!!

Is everyone invited to the Bonfire? I brought suckers and mojitos for all! Facebook unhooked? I went through that with my daughter a few years ago - I am surprised my jaw still worked after I got it off the floor! I LOVE I'm Free, Aloha. What a perfect choice for my five days of freedom (she says proudly!) Day 5 - No problem!

Thanks all - and you're right, 5 will be 150 before I know it. I am REALLY glad this time the quit is for good. Aloha - not really a specific time, we are going to Napa and San Fran next week - what goes better with wine than a smoke? Oh yeah, let me answer that, fresh air, cheese, a walk through the vineyards. Ok - I don't think I'll need any help after all! Thanks again you great quitters you!
