Thursday Night Bonfire!!!

I told you unhooked, kindred spirits! Audrey - that was EXACTLY what this fire needed. Thanks for the input. Where is Aloha anyway - did she run off with...well, we'll just keep that quiet. I am a newbie after all! Day 5 - No problem!

LMAO - ROTF! Now THAT post wins the prize of the day! My favorite name for my ex is "The Donor" because in 16 years, that was the best I got out of him - my daughter. Of course, he gets a little testy when I slip and say that out loud when he's around. Thursday Night Bonfire!!!

Unhooked - (from other thread) your sister is my kinda gal! Once you say the name for years you almost forget their real names. Anyhoo - I must say goodnight and farewell to the wonderful bonfire! I have had a blast at my first ever bonfire and will leave suckers and mojitos for all to enjoy. Me, I am off to Chantix dream heaven. Maybe I'll get lucky and have another dream about chasing the Donor with a bat! Ahhhh - life is good and so is this Quit! Watch out for Ms. Aloha - I know she is out runnin' around loose somewhere! Have a great night and I'll see you tomorrow. Knowlege on emphysema?

Good question - I looked on line and found this: * to avoid things that make emphysema or its symptoms worse, such as smoking and lung infections. I know my aunt had emphysema and wouldn't go near anyone who smoked because she was worried about the second hand smoke. Mamakitty is doing it

Meow MamaKitty! I'm sorry you are having a rough night. But kudos for having a few beers and not smoking - that is a GREAT achievement. PapaKitty needs to just get over it! You are entitled and this is your reward. Don't let it get you down - you are a non-smoker, what is better than that! Free unwanted advice - don't ever let anyone make you feel like you are less than who you know you are. Long, rambling but those words got me through some pretty hard times in a past relationship. We are here for you mama! PS - a special drop of chocolate for you in 2 weeks after I go to Ghirardelli. Then you'll realize just how special chocolate is! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/18/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 6 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 120 Amount Saved: $27.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 15 Mins: 46 Seconds: 38

feeling rejected (help)

Okay mamakitty - I'm not unhooked or aloha, but I am here. Funny, I just posted on another thread you were on. Then I was surfing and found the following ere's a cheerleading statement for ya: It's OK to want or need something from someone else.. Does that look familiar? You wrote it to Joyfulspirit on day 1 -- I am so glad you are here and looking for help. I don't know your situation and my experience with emotional rejection after 16 years of marriage ended...well, let's just leave it at ended. All I can say is you need to be strong for you and those lovely girls you described in another post. That means you DO what you have to for your buddy and you. Is your hubby a smoker? Does he feel abandoned because you quit and he didn't or maybe insecure because you changed the routine by quitting? Do you want me to come over and beat him up? I can you know! You are too sweet to be so sad. No - you will not smoke tonight. You have come SO far - maybe take a warm bubbly, listen to some music and relax. Read a book to take your mind somewhere else. Most important - breathe and realize you are worth it and this is YOUR Quit and you are doing it! To coin unhooked's phrase -- WOO HOO! My thoughts and prayers are with you tonight! Big Big Hugs! IMAQUITTER is 1 WEEK OLD!

What a Lovely way to start my Saturday - checkin' out posts and seeing my name. Yahooo!!! Thanks so much Mister Ed - I do have quite a fondness for horses you know (she says with a wink). Thanks all - it was definitely hell week at times but not nearly as bad as I feared. But isn't that always the way - the doing is not nearly as bad as the fear of doing. Reward - I got a new beautiful coach purse and waited until today to transfer my stuff into so I am going strutting around town with my new treat - smokefree! Don't worry Sue - lots of cheese, wine and chocolates (not necessarily in that order) this week! We actually leave on Wednesday. I know this is long, but it wouldn't be right to take the congratulations without acknowledging how I made it to one week. Without the SSC and all of you I couldn't have done this. I was a trembling, crying mess the week before I quit - until I found this site. Knowing everyone was going through (or had gone through) the same thing made the decision so much easier. I have gained valuable information and made great friends. In more ways than I can count, this quit has added to my life - not taken away! Thanks all - and have a great day. BTW - when you see the tall brunette with the great purse NOT smoking - that will be me! ((((to all of you)))) ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/18/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 140 Amount Saved: $31.50 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 16 Mins: 56 Seconds: 8
