MamaKitty has TWO WEEKS!

Wow, Thanks everybody! I just found this, and I have to leave in a minute but wanted to say I'm sooo glad I'm this far. I couldn't have done it this smoothly without you. I now believe these to be Illusions

Boy... This was just what I needed to hear today STI. Thanks! I've been feeling a little blue and missing my old, relaxed "contemplative smoke" this afternoon. Then I read your post, and am encouraged. I just insert "he" for "she" and voila! My old friend wasn't one at all. In fact, he just knocked the "R" out of himself (the fiend) :eg: I'm also encouraged by the stats of both you and Mr. Ed! Thanks for your thoughts, for living them, and sharing them. Trip

Thanks Sparky. I know exactly what you mean. It sure is nice not to have to play Hide and Smoke anymore! It must've been great to really be able to concentrate on the kids and love them... And meet an SSC member too! I'm proud of you for getting yourself through those rough spots. Resetting my Quit Meter

Chicknoodle, You're so brave, and honest... and I'll be here for you too:) I started with Chantix and smoked that first week while I did my logging homework. Remember that nauseous feeling after the first week? Well, the night before I quit, I smoked my last ones close together and felt that kind of nausea. I wrote myself a note so I wouldn't forget. The Chantix reminds me of that, and my logs help too... Love, mk My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 16 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 240 Amount Saved: $64.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 17 Mins: 21 Seconds: 27

Into day 5 - chest feels heavy....

Hi Sam, I'm so glad you're here. It's fun for me to actually be able to help others a little bit:) and helps me as well... Mercy, that was quite a list of ingredients! Thanks. I've had the same heavy chest feeling in the mornings for awhile Sam, but it is just healing, and it's getting better. Mine started around the 10 day mark where I really noticed it, and I still feel it but not as intense. It also takes me awhile to get up because I feel really groggy. I didn't cough much or clear my throat until a few days ago, and thought I was losing my voice. It's dry, and taking awhile, but that's also better. If you feel a sore or hot feeling throat, or start clearing your throat more closer to 2 weeks, I wouldn't be surprised or afraid either. Your body isn't producing as much mucus to protect all your insides now from smoke damage - so you'll feel more dry. Even my eyes feel dry in the morning. Drink lots of water, and try to walk a little each day to move all the junk out faster:) You're doing great! It just gets better:) mamakitty My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 17 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 255 Amount Saved: $68.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 19 Mins: 0 Seconds: 18
