I smoked.

Good Morning Skidoo, First of all, I think you need one of these: OK now ... remember Skidoo that you should not take your slip/mistake personally. Slipping/Mistake/Failing is about behavior, outcomes, and results. Slipping/Mistake/Failure is not a personality characteristic. Because you made a mistake, doesnt mean that you are a failure or stupid. And DO NOT be so hard on yourself. Hey, if nothing else, you know what doesnt work. You can learn from that and add it to your Quit Armor! Treat the experience as an opportunity to learn. (1) What was the mistake? (2) Why did it happen? (3) How could it have been prevented? (4) How can I do better next time? Do not look at the fail part of your slip, look at the benefit ... the benefit being what you learned from it. Then use that knowledge. We all make mistakes, fear of failure doesn't have to cripple you. Feel the fear and do it anyway. You are awesome Skidoo ... believe it! Do not doubt yourself. Do what you have been doing over the last month and a half. Do not discredit all the days that you got it right. My update

For me stepping down from one stage to the next is like going through 3-7 days of withdrawal again. But everyone is different. Others on here did not experience the same as I did. I didn't want to go through withdrawal 4 separate times so I took mine off and went cold turkey. I would not recommend you do this though until you feel mentally sure that you are not going to smoke. Whatever you do though ... don't feel scared. Believe in yourself. And feel secure in the fact that you have tons of support here. Trust your fellow quit buddies ... they have been through it and will not let you down. Hang in there. You are doing great. He's Back

I'm glad to hear you are doing good today Lady. Sometimes it is hard to make rational decisions when the heart is involved. I understand. (((hug))) I agree with Cobenfan about sending it upstairs for review. (Great way to put it. Cute.) Is there a chart?

Cinda ... you can rest assured that whatever you are going through ... someone on this site went through it. So post, ask if anyone else felt that way ... they will respond and it will make you feel better, safer, more normal ... etc. That is what I did and it helped me. Almost all of the threads on this site are about the process of Quitting. Pick a member who has an attitude and a quit that you would like to have ... search their posts ... and learn from their experiences. Anytime you need support ... we'll be here. Keep it up, you are doing great.
