Good Morning Jamie,
Congrats on your 1st smoke free week!
I myself decided to just go cold turkey. The patch helped me break the actual habit and now I seem ok.
So did you use the patch for the first week and then take it off and go cold turkey?
If you are wearing the patch, you will still have withdrawals and cravings until your body adjusts to what ever level of patch you have on because you are still putting the addictive drug in your body. Once it adjusts you should be fine until it is time to step down.
I enjoy going to the gym as well. It is a great de-stressor.
Physical withdrawals come from all the chemicals coming out of your body. Once the drugs are out, the cravings, in my opinion, are all mental. If you are still having cravings once the chemicals are gone I would suggest you really examine your inner dialog, your self talk, your attitude, etc.

Sorry I was not around last night ... I would have most defiantly offered support to you.
Please tell me you are still smoke free Darcy.
... ok ... now listen up ... do not go to the door and say good-bye to those nasty things like you are giving something good up.

Keep on keeping your quit Darcy. You can do this. There is light at the end of the tunnel. You have a few more weeks and things will start getting better ... PROMISE!!!

It is normal to feel a little apprehensive about doing something new. Feel the fear and do it anyway. You will be happy you did, I promise you.
Today, prepare for your Quit. Use the Quit Program Tools to the left of your screen. Throw all smoking stuff away. Tell people. Clean stuff. Preparation is key.
Congrats on your decision. It will be one of the best ones you ever make.
And do not forget to reward yourself!

I love coffee. I drink 1-3 cups every morning. Switch to decaf for now.
Coming off the nicotine drug makes you shaky and anxious enough ... you add caffeine to that and oooo boy that is a nasty crave.
