Red, Welcome to the site and congratulations on becoming an ex-smoker! It is great to hear that you are ready to quit! The question is are you prepared? Please take advantage of our free Online Treatment Program in your glove compartment as you log into our site. This program will first help you determine if youre ready to quit. If youve already quit and are looking for some help, this program is for you. Although the program will first assess if youre ready to quit the exercises at the beginning of the program will help remind you of the reasons why you quit in the first place. Dont get frustrated - ex-smokers have told us that the exercises at the beginning of the program gave them confidence and helped them reaffirm their personal commitment to remain smoke free. The exercises in this program are divided into six major milestones. Think of each milestone as a destination youre trying to reach. After you complete the exercises in each milestone, your car will progress along the road map located at the bottom left-hand side of the screen. The best thing about this program is that it is free and you dont have to purchase any products to use this program. We hope that we have guided you in the right direction today! Please feel free to contact our support department in our feedback section found at the bottom of this page if you continue to have any questions or concerns. Or, please continue to join us here at our online support group! We wish you all the best and look forward to helping you achieve your goals! Melanie ____________________ The SSC Support Team

A friend from the Q mentioned that this site was much better than the Q. (Not very supportive over there) Ego's and moodiness apparently over ride all others.... Anyways.. Day 51 for me and still kicking. I started my quit with the patch. Couldn't use Nicoderm due to rash's but did an off brand and it worked. Around the 35th day.. I started to forget to put the patch on so I just quit wearing the patch all together. So now I am Nic-free and smoke-free. Couldn't feel better.. (Ok, except the Quit Zits have got to go...) but other than that.. I feel GREAT and confident that I can do this. anyways.. Hello everyone and Keep up the Quit... red- I too found the Q a bit moody for my taste. The month I was there I witnessed at least 3 fireball fights. Congrats on your quit. I hope to be there in 35 days!

Hi there Redh0tw and welcome. I am glad you found this site. I have found it to be very supportive and helpful. I am in the same boat regarding the patch. I started out using the patch and about the 5th week I kept forgetting to put it on so I decided to just stop the patch all together too. I love being nicotine and smoke free. It feels so gooooooood. I dont get many cravings anymore! Again, welcome and enjoy! See you around. Keep us posted. Welcome to SSC Redhotw and congrat's on your 51 days that is really great. SSC is a support group like non other. The tools on the left are a great help, but the best is the support that we receive here from each other. Good, bad, happy, sad, mad, depressed, tears, no matter what people here will see you through each step of the way. I feel GREAT and confident that I can do this. You can do this because you already are doing it. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/9/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 86 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,729 Amount Saved: $430 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 0 Mins: 59 Seconds: 2
