Not worth it anymore I don't think...

Hey Ron, Isn't it nice to know that so many others have been to this same place in their quits. NOT! Doesn't help a bit when you are the one there. But you keep fighting, don't give up now. Most of us have reached this " I don't know if it's worth it" space sometime after blah week. It's not new anymore, it's not exciting, and you have been fighting for a long time. Seems like a lot longer. Your tired and it would be so much easier to just let go. Look at this hard, it's a last ditch effort by your mind to get you go back to cigs. It's the heavy part of the mind game. If you can keep telling yourself that you are not going to let go, that you are in this for the win.. you can make it. Check back often and let us know how you are. 6-12 CLUB III

Lady, Especially for you, for 9 months smober, and for being my friend. "For Sentimental Reasons" "The easy Parts over now" at last we can say, that we are ready for a "Wild Weekend". "On the Other Hand" we worked really hard and did it "One piece at a Time". When the going was tough, you just had to "Knock three times" and "the whole world smiled at you". Each new day is "Unforgetable" even when "Some days are Diamond" it has always been "Just a Matter of Time". You know "I Believe in You" and "who says You can't Have it all"? We always knew "if we made it through December""Someday we'll look back"and say "We used to" but we don't any more and just "Don't give us a reason". Lately, we look around and wonder "where have all our heroes gone", and "for all we know" they are just around the corner. As long as "I walk the Line" and keep on drinking that"cool water" eventually it will be "ALLY ALLY Oxen Free". You come join me as I sit under the "Lemon Tree" or if you prefer, we can sit by the "LOllipop Tree" and feel the "Sunshine on my shoulder" now that winter is gone. I have a "Table for Two" any time you want to join me here in "God's Country". So "Come on and Join into the Game" and we start up the "ZOmbie Jamboree". It's been nine months since the "Lord gave us this Mountain" and we can now shout with the best "We're going to make it after all"! CONGRATULATIONS! I think that it's time for "Silver Wings" Cheryl My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/4/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 273 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,569 Amount Saved: $778.05 Life Gained: Days: 35 Hrs: 19 Mins: 6 Seconds: 55

Generational Curse

Juju, 4 days quit and doing well. You just have to keep going one breath at a time. You can break the chain in your family and start a new chain for others to follow. Don't push them they will come on their own from your marvelous example. Be Proud! Be Confident! Be Careful, no slipping, no listening to the demon. Keep your mind on the positive aspects of your quit. Go over your list several times a day and feel yourself grow. It's great to be free. Today?????????

Good that you reset. Being safe at home is important and good, but it is not all that is needed. You will always be able to leave, and go buy what ever you need, or desire. What is important now is that you recommit to your desire to not smoke. If you don't have them you can't smoke them. If your friends have them and would give you access, then your resolve has to be strong enough to not ask, and to refuse if offered. There will always be smokers around somewhere, unless they stop making cigs, and I don't see that happening. This part of the battle can only be fought by you. We can support, we can cheer you on, we can give you a high 5 when you succeed, but we can not keep you from puffing if that is your choice. There are thousands of suggestions on this site of what to do instead, but the hardest by far is to just say no. NOPE= Not One Puff Ever. Don't Light Up! Keep it out of your face. Determination, Persistance, Resolve... those are the answers. COngratulations on staying with it. Keep going you will make it. 2 month symtons

Shadow, You are doing great! 68 days is nothing to sneeze at. You have gotten to the point where you are comfortable with the idea that you don't smoke anymore, and that is good. Start taking advantage of that, go to the theater, movies, concerts. Enjoy a train ride somewhere. Take up a new sport. You have lots of empty time now. Discover all sorts of new hobbies. Try, Try , and keep trying. Someone told me to go out and try new teas, learn how to do a tea ceremony, and get new table linnen, which lead to learning how to fold napkins. Amazing what you can do with all the new time you have. Keep on...your gonna love it.
