BRAIN FARTS!!!

Wow did I have it all wrong last time I posted about you Jan. Ok let me see if I can get this right. Go get Aimee and give her the strap. Then bend over and assume the position. The penalty for brain farts is two whacks. Don't let these people beat you up too bad just don't do it again and don't make me come over there. Duffis

NO JUSTICE

What changes when one of your friends has received the death sentence and invites you over to talk. Lung Cancer and never smoked a day in his life. Me..no Cancer and smoked for 58-59 years. His wifeshe is still smoking like a chimney. Doesnt seem like there is justice in the world any more. Well down to the cellar we go, park on a bench and break open a jar of white liquor or lightning what ever you prefer to call it. This particular pint was flavored with real strawberries and was about 10 year old. We didnt solve any problems but we sure ended up feeling good; for a while anyway death didnt go away. He offered me the whole shelve which contained about 40 pints he had made over the many years that he farmed. It is ironic that his crops were tobacco and soy beans. I told him that I would not be able to ever drink another pint from this collection with him being gone from this world, we both cried for awhile but what the hell we are both in our 70s so life is just a rerun anyway. What is the point of this post anyway? Am I about to climb up on the pulpit and start preaching? I dont think so. Maybe a simple message would be appropriate. Value your friends and family for you never know when they might leave you. If you smoke quit it, if you never smoked dont start. Duffis

DO YOU WANT TO BE SMOKEFREE OR NOT???

Rob you are a crack up Lithium.I thought I was in the line for peyote. Ok Chicken what did you do stay in a Holiday Inn last night? PSYCHONESS ???? In all my years I have not encountered that term used in that particular sense. You might consider psychoactive as a replacement word for better meaning. I can fully appreciate your rant and hope that you are one of the few that will succeed in your quit without the pain and suffering that us moners and groners have gone through. I seem to remember about day 180 I went to hell in a hand basket for no particular reason. Not having a bad day or anything. It (what ever it was and to this day have never figured it out) slammed me into the ground so hard I almost blew a 6 month quit. Wahhhhhhhh Wahhhhhhhhh you bet youre a** I did..but I didnt fold, I could have but did not. Besides my being in the wrong line there must be some reasoning for my posting to your thread.oh yea now I remember. Dont get to cocky you are still an addict and always will be. All you can ever hope to do is develop the will and courage to stand up to this addiction. There are a few rare birds like Joe and myself still around that can walk on fire bricks or for that matter what ever we choose to take on. 70% of all smokers want to quit.. Only 5% will succeed. Be gentle and understanding of your fellow quitterseveryone is different and will do this anyway they can, if they can. Why ? Why is it hard to stop smoking? Why do you want to smoke another cigarette?

Thanks for starting this thread Phoenix I hope that members will contribute to this theme. Luna are you home or still in S America? We miss you. My contribution would be "why anything? It is because it is" Duffis :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 403 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 12,108 Amount Saved: $1035.71 Life Gained: Days: 80 Hrs: 17 Mins: 22 Seconds: 48
