Yesterday I forgot it was 1 year...........

hiya bleu! ~huggggs~ I'm so glad you dropped in! You are on my mind alot so I love to hear how you're doing! You've been a inspiration to alot of us. You are special! Congrats again on a smoke-free year! Melissa, the beauty of this site is it works for the talkers and the silent type, the whiners and the macho men (& women ;) ), the cold turkeys and the warm turkeys. In other words, their is no such thing as selfish here. Everything is given freely out of love and concern. We all take what we need and leave what we can't use. We give when we can or when we feel compelled. Congrats to you also on your one year! For someone who is really struggling.............

this site never ceases to amaze me! I love all you guys and gals! Our friend is so blessed to have found a support system like this (as we all are blessed). I wish her strength and determination. I wish her the epiphany I had where you realize that at this point in time you will be miserable whether you smoke or not. You see, as long as you smoke, you will continue to want to quit. You will continue to suffer mini-craves as long as you feed the addiction and major craves when you quit. BUT when you stick with it....it get's better, the craves will someday end. We CAN do this! ~lbugg~ My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/17/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 335 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 17,755 Amount Saved: $2211 Life Gained: Days: 32 Hrs: 15 Mins: 10 Seconds: 43

broken legs

hey Eady! This journey really sucks, doesn't it? The good news, it does get better! Thanks to tossing the smokes (good job for trashing them!), you've just about made it through hell week! Think about it...if you smoke again, you'd have to go through this again! And you know you would, because you don't want to be a smoker. that's why you made the choice to quit! Wouldn't that be a hoot?! So just keep on hanging in. One crave, one day at a time. And next time you feel those feets headed for the door....(don't break your legs) just come on in here and post away! We CAN do this! Just need a break....

Hi Tenielle, I do understand what you're saying. Take a look at a post I made last March. It's in the 'avoiding relapse' section. It was right after I started this forever quit. I had a failed attempt in January last year. It failed in part for the reasons you have right now. There is hope Tenielle. Step back, get the medical help you need, learn all you can, make a plan, and start fresh. You can do this and we'll be here to help! ~bugg huggs~ PS...Stay close to the site, too. I kept reading (and occasionally posting ;p even inbetween) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/17/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 334 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 17,702 Amount Saved: $2204.4 Life Gained: Days: 32 Hrs: 12 Mins: 52 Seconds: 21
