broken legs

Hey Eady ! Welcome to the rodeo !! Hope you brought your gear ! It can be a hard ride but, you get a great reward in the end !! Plus you get all of our company (a $9.99 value) just for showing up. I think a good spained ankle and a flat tire might do the trick.. (I'm available for both... :eg:) I don't know how long you smoked but, I realized that I was breaking habits that had been with me since I was a teenager (my whole life). My lungs were used to being blackened 20-25 times a day ! My mouth splashed with dirty nasty nicotine ! My teeth in constant battle to stay stainfree ! But now : My mouth doesn't know what to make of the clean feeling ! My teeth (although always lovely)have become blinding to oncoming traffic ! Shoot.. even my kids went through withdrawl and are nic free !!! It takes time but you can do this .. and you deserve to be free of this addiction !!! Pamper yourself and pick up some hard candy to help fight the urges.. Hang Tuff ! I keep feeling like my cravings are so strong I have top break my own legs to not go to the store. No I wouldn't actually break my leags. But I am so amazed at the strength of the cravings. Sometimes it physically hurts. Last night I couldn't take it anymore so I bought a pack, ripped it open, put the smoke in my mouyh, lit it, started crying, drove with it in my hand, then through it out the window along with the pack! And I keep wondering am I obsessing or what, but don't think so. I'm still very tired and fatigued, dizzy and spaced. Keeping my head up though, it has to get better. No one died of quitting smoking but many have died from smoking! Thanks for your support. Eady, i feel for you... Like you i was absolutely consumed by smoking thoughts every second of the day, i even dreamt of smoking at night. This only lasted a short while & became easier to deal. Read as much as you can & soak up the atmosphere cos we've all got something in common & thats Nicotine Addiction. I choose to look at the cravings it in a positive way, the hell journey i went through will be the main reason i never smoke again. Time does heal very quickly Eady.... 1 year on & i can hardly remember what cravings feel like. You can do it to - i hope my little piece of wisdom helps you. Eady. Quitting is hard. Really hard. But it is so worth it in the end. I know that isn't very comforting right now but it is true. I truly thought I would lose my mind in the beginning but I hung on tight. It's a heck of a ride. Keep telling yourself you can do this because you can. Congratulations on making it through Hell week (one more day). That is the hardest week of anyone's quit. You have been smoke free for six days now. When is the last time you could say that? Do you have any idea how many smokers wish they could say that? No broken legs necessary. Just hang in there one day at a time. Pat yourself on the back for your success. You are doing great! hey Eady! This journey really sucks, doesn't it? The good news, it does get better! Thanks to tossing the smokes (good job for trashing them!), you've just about made it through hell week! Think about it...if you smoke again, you'd have to go through this again! And you know you would, because you don't want to be a smoker. that's why you made the choice to quit! Wouldn't that be a hoot?! So just keep on hanging in. One crave, one day at a time. And next time you feel those feets headed for the door....(don't break your legs) just come on in here and post away! We CAN do this!
