You are correct LadyBugg, we are going to make it!! Abg & I noticed last night that it was 11 months. We've been able to beat down many triggers and opportunities to smoke. Smoking is not an option anymore. We're not overly cocky, just pretty sure of ourselves. Cigs are always going to be available, we just have to make the right choice. Smoke or not smoke.
Friends that quit with us are on the verge of slipping, but Abg & I already decided that if that happens, we will stay Non- Smokers. Our kids smoke and we must show them the light, somehow. The best way is by example, and a little prodding.
We most definately owe a good portion of our success to our friends here at the SSC. We're here nearly everyday, reading, chiming in occassionally. There are many. many new folk here now. And we'll try to help them along also, if we can. Alot of elders have blazed the trail for us, and will be forever indebted to them. There's to many to name, but you know who you are.
We are gonna make that year mark, and there will be one hell of a celebration by attaboygirl and walkingeagle, you can take that to the bank!!!
Thanks Ladybugg & all here at the SSC
P.S.
To anybody just thinking about quitting, I was a 2 pack a day smoker for nearly 35 years. It can be done. It may seem impossible, but it's not. You can do it. Get your mind right, Luke.
