How to encourage members to post

I would just like to tell the new members that when I first found this
site I was scared to post for fear of sounding to weird or silly but
as I started to read the forums I found that people were going
through the same kind of things that I was. I think that by me
posting that first time it was kind of freeing because now I know that I can
talk about it with others and it takes the fear  out of having anxiety
and panic. we deal with alot of fear so it's nice to have people who
get what your going through! So when you are ready give it a try and take that
first step! My best to all.

Hi Missy,

First welcome to the forums! You said that they told you that you had
postpartum, that is not uncommon after what you went through after
having your baby. I too had postpartum depression after I had my girl
and my doctor put me on amitriptyline and it helped me alot. I had to
stay on it for about a year, but after that I was fine. I also encourage
you to do this program because It will give you the tools to cope with
life's anxieties with raising a child! so keep posting and let us no how you
are doing!

New

Hi Red,

Just wanted to let you know how much I look forward to your posts!
I like when you post your pic's of flowers and talk about your trips,
and crafts! I read where you were very sore from exercising, I have just
started back on the treadmill in the last couple of days and find that
I have to work up where I was before at a slow pace so that I don't
get side lined.  Hope to keep reading what you've been up to!

Stress from panic attack

David,

You might want to see if you are dehydrated it can make you lightheaded
and foggy, even though you are drinking water you still can lose other things
like electrolites I have had to relatives have this same thing with the heat!
Check with your doctor. all my best.

exposure work

Hi all,

wanted to talk about my experience, my friends mother n law (a dear lady)
is in the hospital and I have been saying that I was going to visit her
but things kepted coming up so it kept being put off, well I told
my daughter that we were going today.  I have been working hard on
my exposure sessions and have been doing well not even having anticipatory
anxiety, well last night I kept waking up and trying to worry, I kept pushing
it away and went back to sleep. this morning I woke up to worrying about going
even started having physical symptoms which I haven't had in awhile and it
got so bad that I told my hubby that I wasn't going to go but he said yes you are
that I needed to worry but  do it anyway( I have such a great hubby!!) I went and even
though I had symptoms all the way their, I went and was glad I did! We had a nice
visit and even though I had the panic feelings before and during the visit I have to
say that I can have the panic and still do it anyway. I did feel good about myself
afterwords but I guess I still have some ways to go. just wanted to share thanks
for listening .

exposure work

Hi Ashley,

Thanks for kind words, you asked what I have learned about
myself,I guess I have learned that even though I get uncomfortable
at times during my exposure work that if I can push through it
that I can do the things I want and need to do. It's hard but worth
it.
