From my understanding, an psychiatrist is a doctor specialized in mental health and he can give you meds.
A psychologist is a protected title. Which means a psychologist has to join an order and meet their standards before being able to call himself that. A psychologist does therapy and can't prescribe medication.
A psychotherapist is not a psychologist.a psychologist can call himself psychotherapist but a psychotherapist cannot call himself psychologist. As of now, I do not think the title psychotherapist is regulated. Well not in my country anyway. So anyone can call themselves that. Some are super good and have tons of great training and others are less good. So as with anything shopping needs to be done, and info needs to be gotten! But that is true of any help you get!Psychotherapists do therapy and cannot prescribe medication.

Hubby stayed home from work again today. He played too late and got up late and called in sick. We have been fighting all day. I think my marriage is over but it just doesn'T know it or wants to accept it yet! I am going to councellor's tonight but not as hopeful about it as I would like.
I am a bad wife and we fight non-stop. I don't understand him and he doesn't understand me. I love him, he loves me but I am not sure our marriage isn't over.
