Lousy Day

15 years ago 0 151 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0

Hey Guys:

Not a good couple of days at all.  If it keeps up like this I will have to change the Topic of the post to Lousy Days.

I just don't know what's going on anymore.  I feel so edgy, agitated, feel like squealing and these feelings don't go away.  Even when I wake up at night I still feel the same.

Just wondering if anyone has felt the same way & if this is another phase of the disorder?

Hi Ya CD:

Different isn't the word!  I know one thing for sure if those 2 twits are disrupting the class again I will be speaking privately with the program coordinator.

Thanks for your words of encouragement.

I have to agree with Diva... although I too feel much better I love the support of the site and check in all the time.  For one, there is always something to be learned from you all and second, it reminds me to keep my focus on being well and taking it one day at a time...

You two will get there as well... it's a daily journey and one I'm more than happy to share with you all...  :)

Hey Cm,

You are most welcome. Please always feel free to share with us! I do find support is crucial. This is why I am the veteran in this site. I feel a lot better but the support still helps me!

Hey Atedge,

I want to say you are right. The CBT does help. As for why we develop this disirder I wish I knew. But it does sound like you are having new experiences. So feel free to come share and reflect with us! It helps!

atedge,   It sounds like you are experiencing some emotions that you have not felt before. You also mentioned that exercising has helped you in the past. Although you are injured, is it possible to exercise in other ways such as walking or even doing stretches that will help you manage these emotions?   Thanks for the tips for CM as well! I'm sure other members will find them helpful as well.     Sarah, Health Educator

Hi All
Just read through this post because of the title.
I've never felt this "fearfulness" and "aloneness" before these last 2 days. These have been the two lousiest days so far.
I felt bulletproof for the first 50yrs of my life and don't know why I would have developed IBS and anxiety stuff after surgery and stress at work (happened 2 yrs ago).
I had a recent relapse when an injury stopped me from exercising my way back to normal.

And, CM,
Hang in there, 'cause  I wanted to let you know that fear, inability to relax, or focus etc are happening to me and for different reasons. So it must be internally produced and we should be able to control this with CBT.
there are a bunch of relaxation mp3 stuff you can download -even some taichi - google it.

Hi Ya Guys:

Just thought I would stop in for a bit to say thanks to everyone for your words of comfort and encouragement.  It means so much to me in the daily battle which has taken another phase of always having to do something, not being able to relax and almost being hyper.  I am eating an awful lot of chocolate which I can't seem to cut down on & think this might be adding to the heightened state.

We certainly are a brave lot to battle this disorder because it really does take a lot of strength.

Hiya CM,

Sounds like a wild bunch in your class. You are right some of them should be taken out of class if they are disruptive. I am impressed with how well  you handle all of it. I agree you should look at all the stuff you accomplished. Be proud of yourself! You are doing great. It is ok to be upset and to be scared. The bravest thing is not to not be scared, it is to be scared and do things anyway! Hang in there, donèt give up you are doing well. And with each tiny success, eventually it gets better!

Hi Caden...

I too think you had some definate highlights in your last few days.  Way to go girl - and Diva's right..the way you're handling your relationship with your teacher shows a lot of courage and was obviously the right one - look at the support you received.

I'm like Joe... (for the same reason I think too  Walkman with VERY loud music... 1980's style) , I get the ringing in my ears from time to time and it can be very distracting and uncomfortable.  It sounds as though yours would be quite unpleasant - sorry to hear that.

The battle is always worth it Caden even when you feel like giving up.  I'm not sure if you've talked to the doctor about depression but often anxiety and depression can run a fine line, sharing a lot of the same symptoms including anxiety.  Often one doesn't get diagnosed because the symptoms of the other are stronger at times or more distressing to the patient...

Just something to think about as you've mentioned a few times that you just can't think positively etc.

Take care Caden... and be proud - you've done a lot of good things this week!!
