Lousy Day

Wow Caden, your class is like a daily dose of a soap opera, only the mental health version!

I've seen quite a few dogs like the one you saw.  Breaks my heart...wish I could help them, but they are where they're needed.   Willing to bet that just like we have problems, so do the people who own those animals...and I'm willing to bet that animal brings comfort to someone in that household that desperately needs it.  In spite of all the hardships, that dog still calls that home, home.  Another reason to respect man's best friend..

I'm willing to bet I have a very "light" form of tinnitus, as I get ringing in my ears from time to time.  Guessing it came from all that great music I liked, that my parents hated.

The fight is always worth it Caden.  And honestly, it never does end.  It's up to you to find the reason why.  Once you find that one (or more) reasons, it doesn't matter if the battle never ends, only the reason matters.

CM,

Sounds like you had quite the day. I agree that something should be done about those two students in your class. Did you speak to your teacher about it. The other students must have been just as bothered by this disruptive behaviour.
As for the dog, so sad. It is pretty awful to think of the poor treatment that some animals receive.
And I think you're right CM, if its not one things it's the other, but, you have to look on the bright side. What good thing happened today? You successfully completed a class, you spent the day with mum, you took action and tried to help a dog...I think there are a lot of positives that you can reflect upon.
But, for now, I suggest that you have a warm bath and relax, you've had a long day

Hi Ya Guys:

In english class today I told my mum we needed a referee.  There is one girl who is on meds for depression and boy does she have an anger management problem.  The other day she was having it out with our home room teacher.  You should have seen the look on her face, she was furious and just spewing vile.  Now today she was sitting behind me and all of a sudden she slams her binder shut says something to the person behind her and moves to the other end of the class to sit.

Then this other guy, who's very outstpoken and hyper starts arguing with the woman in front of him.  At the end of class he ends up having words with the teacher and tells her he doesn't know where the teacher's mind is.  The teacher told him that they would have to talk privately about the incident, the guy tells her he can't stay as he has to collect money from his boss.  Talk about the twilight zone, you never know with this lot!

I think these two should be permanently removed from the class and anyone like them who exhibits similar disruptive behaviour.  So I found that pretty upsetting.

Next mum and I see this poor soul of a dog which looks like it's been through the mill, it brought tears to my eyes.  I called animal services for them to come and rescue it but had to call them back because get this it went into the yard of a house just down the road.  I asked the owner if it was his dog as I thought it was abandoned, he just brushed me off.
Just the thought that this poor soul might be abused really got me upset, at one part on it's side you could see it's skin.

Not a good day at all.  You see I also have tinnitus, and I''m lucky enough to have 2 noises constantly in my ears.  I also have a sensitivity to noises and vibrations as a result of  a medication I took years ago.  Today is quite a challenge for me having to battle the anxiety and depression at the thought of all the noises and vibrations.

Days like these you wonder if the fight is worth it.  The battle never seems to end, if it's not one thing it's another.

Well we'll be nerds together then...nothing wrong with being smart, even though my smarts end an a and 2 s's.
Scotland, eh?  That explains why your mom's sense of humor sounds so familiar...considering Ireland and Scotland are so close, I see plenty of similarities.

Gene:  No way, your mom's Irish too?  If you don't mind my asking, what are your nationalities?
Funny, I used to be the only "mix-breed" I knew...now I can't seem to find anyone that isn't!  Imagine spending junior high in a ghetto school with blacks, mexicans, and maybe 3 1/2 white people...I was the only one with asian in me!  And I was also the 1/2 white part too.

Now I also know what ROFL means. My mother is also irish.

CM. Well done for the success with your english essay. Nice to have an understanding teacher.

Sounds like you had a rough night the other day but you seemed to handle it well. Your mom sounds cool.

Hello CM,

Wow sounds like you are doing well! I thinhk it is amazing about your essay. I know how tough school stuff can be and I am super proud for you! On top of it, it sounds like you are handling your relationship with your teacher really well. I am very impressed.

As for what happened to your mom, I am sorry to hear about that. I do think you both handled it very well though!

Congratulations on all your successes!

Thanks for letting me know, I could look at it I'm the nerd for not knowing the meaning.

We are originally from Scotland so hence the sense of humor , also my mum's dad was from Ireland.

rofl = roll on the floor laughing.  Doesn't sound dumb that you don't know it, I kinda feel lame for knowing it though.  I'm such a frikken nerd.

Rofl, your mom does sound like a crack up though, a lot like my parents.  They have a quip (quick comeback...heard it in a movie somewhere) for everything.  Irish mom and Japanese dad.  And they wonder where me and my brother got our sense of humor from...sometimes harmless, sometimes harmful...but always with good intentions in mind!

Hi Ya Sarah:

Thank-you.

You have no idea how much this site means to me.  Caring people like yourself and all the other moderators & of course all of my fellow sufferers.  It's like an on line cheering section that is also with us when we are in the pit of despair.

Just wondering if there you or someone else could suggest an exposure plan because not getting out at night is my biggest fear.  With the nights getting darker earlier and winter approaching this again will be quite a challenge for me.  Believe it or not I had conquered this fear during my CBT last year and managed to stay in for nights at a time but the fear has reared it's ugly head once again and so the battle begins.

Hi Ya Joe:

You think that was funny when I told mum about the pagan witch in my class who says she knows spells.  You know what my mum said that totally relieved all my fear and made me crack up (in a good way of course) laughing.

She said 'well if she's got an emotional problem she probably won't get the spells right'"  My mum has an amazing sense of humor and is just priceless.

Oh yeh this may sound dumb but what does ROFL mean?
