Doodles,
You are doing so good! DO NOT GIVE UP.
This is for you, nobody else.
If you are craving and have a smoke, you will just need another one 20 minutes later. (Someone else said on the board and it has REALLY helped me!)
9 days! 216 hours! 12960 minutes!
Keep it up , we have faith in you!

I do online banking, so I opened up a savings account
and have been transfering $9.00 from my checking account every day.
I smoked around a pack a day and the cost for a pack of 20 is $9.00 in Canada.
So anyways, it has been a great motivator to actually see the money in my "smokefree" account even if it's only been 3 days.
We all have goals and rewards, and part of the money saved will go towards my 6 month reward :)

I have a very high stress job. I *think* I have been doing great, but being at work is just killing me!
Not that I even crave , just the urge to smoke is coming in very strong waves.
UGH! this is sooooo frustrating.

I'm SO excited! In a couple of hours I will be on Day 4!
WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so proud of myself for getting past today.
To all the Canadians...you know the commercial with the flight attendent and she is yelling at people cause she quit smoking, I was a "tad" like that today. lol But at least I made it :)
The reward of knowing I DID NOT smoke is so worth it!
Again, thanks to ALL of you, I could not have done it without you.
I will take your advice and apply it to my work enviroment.
Some great tips and tricks!
I am also lucky that I have many friends (smokers and non-smokers) at work that are supporting me 100%.
I am off too bed, see you here in the morning :)
One day at a time,
Tam

unhooked...You made my smile this morning. Can't believe it, I have "day 4" under my belt and in my stats!!!!
ashfree me...Thank you for reminding me of 2 things
1) I am not super human , I can't expect this process of changing my entire life not to effect my work.
2) That it WILL get better.
Josie..I credit all of the people on this site for helping me keep the quit. I know I could not do it without all the advice and support.
A couple of amazing things happened this morning. Smoking was not my first thought when I woke up this morning and when I finally did think about smoking I was so happy I quit because I didn't have to go out in the rain.

exgrafix,
Deciding to quit smoking is an extremely personal decision.
You will know in your heart when you have had enough of putting that little white stick in your mouth 20-30 times a day.
You will not know what it's like unless you give it a try. One day at a time.
We are here to help:)
