Hell week 1 was okay with me
Hell week 2 Is over however I did get the crave
only for a few seconds ,,Just wondering? Wondering if it is possible to smoke only 1 day a week or just on weekends,,,,,however these are just tormenting thoughts
( a compromise ) which is probably part of the battle to fight that habit....
There is no compromise you can make with yourself or the mind'
It would defeat the purpose of coming to this site .
Good Luck everyone
We all can do it
and
remember
We are not alone in this struggle

Yes each one is different. I got thinking tonight about how I dreaded going to work being a nonsmoker because there is alot of sitting around/freetime and almost everyone smokes there,,,however I have worked 4 nights and It is mind over matter. I can't believe little fears can become such a big excuse back then for me not to take a serious stab at this.
I am starting to munch a little more now
I wish everyone well and listen to that little angel voice on one of your shoulders
Don
thanks all for the replies
I really liked what one person had to say
"when the desire to smoke is less than the desire to quit"
That in itself speaks volumes
Remember that old adage " It's so easy to quit,,,,heck,,i've done it hundreds of times."
I had target dates before however !!! I still had 1 or 2 ciggies left in the pack so I tossed them in the freezer just couldnt bear to throw them out,,,,or give them away,,,Jan 19 I went to bed with no cigarettes left over, just an empty pack.
II feel very positive and when is the hard part?
It is like coffee
It is like alcohol
they go hand in hand
I am into my sixth day and I just can't wait to reach 3 months
so I can feel that 30 % extra lung capacity which I have been
denying myself ,,good luck
I lost my sister in 99 to lung cancer
that wasn't enough to make me quit..
My brother had quad bipass around that time also
Last Sunday he was given his last rites before his operation to
correct surgery resulting from clogged arteries ,3 days in ICU and he is in a room now recovering He dodged a major bullet,, I vowed before I seen him to myself I don't want to allow myself to advance to that type of stage in my life,,,,I have a wonderful homelife
and I can't destroy that and me at once.
Good luck
I am new and thought id try this approach

I am new also However I couldn't give it a very good go knowing that I had a pack with one or two left and I just couldn't bear to waste them so this past Saturday I had none left and so the temptation isn't in my house now,,I am into day 5 now and I am feeling a bit
postive towards myself however last night I had a strong urge,
