3 full weeks

Well folks,,thanks to my determined self and this support group which allows me to read all the dirty stuff which entails in the nasty habit helps me go on and on like "that pink bunny" I am feeling psychologically energized and rewarding myself is as soon as the warmer weather reachs Toronto GTA . As I am typing this I have to keep in mind that tommorrow we are having a funeral service for my brother whom passed away 1 day before my birthday...why I mentioned this is that life comes with very stressful hurdles which we must overcome...He will not cause me to have a cigarette,, I look at him as inspiration because he quit over 10 yrs ago and nobody though he could quit his 2 pk a day habit, If he could do it I can do it and anyone here reading this post can also do it. With alot of testimonials out here the commonality is we all are fighting soldiers in this battle which we know we can win God Bless you all and keep up the good fight Cordially Don My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 24 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 513 Amount Saved: $216 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 19 Mins: 53 Seconds: 18

What do you feel like at the 100 day mark?

I am wondering now what was the point for alot of years why I did smoke and what was its purpose? To be away from its grip sees alot of wonderful views from the other side. I am 100 days ( very pleased with myself ) still fighting Can I ask how other people feel at 100 Days? What do you feel like at the 100 day mark?

I thank everyone for their input. I went to see my Dr. last week and he said among other people that I do look healthier and my ex says it is me and not what the doctor says which is true. He also says that there is no such thing as an ex-smoker which in ways of his explaination makes sense. I enjoy reading on how it is fathomable tha t this can be our final quit once and for all everyone. Also it is great that we share and work on this not alone but somehow with this net program, it really gives us a boost of strength and a sense of accomplishment during the 'quit'. Need Motivation!

Bingo said alot which is so very real and ( hit home ) The seriousness of how to cut life short, we all never would give it a second thought or we just smirk and puff away. I have lived that life and that was 60 days ago . I read Bingos day 5 and I wish that he not take tylenol, it is a killer My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 60 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,260 Amount Saved: $540 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 9 Mins: 46 Seconds: 58

Receiving A Non-Smoking Award

When I was about 2 weeks into my quit and I had a Dr. appointment , for prescription refill ,,out of the blue he asked about my smoking,,,What a feeling to say to your physician that you " Do not smoke ! " That is like an Award only one can give oneself. My hobby is metal-detecting and yesterday I walked up a man-made skihill and down and up and crisscrossed down again searching for lost items,I then proceeded to drive to the mall to shop and purposely parked my vehicle between mall and Library to avoid making a short trip. Once I arrived at the Library the first thing that came to mind was the fact that I just realized and felt that "extra lung capacity" , Which is another " Award ". I felt great inside honestly. I wish I could say the absolute " I will never, ever smoke again" However I have to accept my personal pledge that I 'hope' not to smoke again because the battle, how intense, will always be there . To remain smokefree is an " Award " To wake up and experience another wonderful day is our "reward" Yep Life is Precious My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 68 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,430 Amount Saved: $612 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 16 Mins: 10 Seconds: 55
