Help I want a cig or I'm going to scream

Hey Heidijo, It's very hard for the first few days. It is doable. What are you doing to help you cope? Help I want a cig or I'm going to scream

Well, If I may offer a few suggestions for the first few days. It's good that you will be going through this over the weekend. If you haven't already, work through the program on the left. Make sure you are taking very good care of yourself. Rest as much as possible and pamper yourself. Drink lots of water and have some gum and hard candies to suck on. I have been using sunflower seeds lately. Sucking on a straw is also sometimes helpful. Taking a shower or a bath is also very soothing. Read as much as possible and post if you have questions or just need to talk. Being at this website really helped me make it through those very hard first few days. YOU CAN do this! Couch Potatos Unite! A couch potato's workout thread!

I'm here to join the club. I have not been active at all since I quit and the scale has been rising. My clothes are very tight and I refuse to buy bigger ones. Instead, I pledge to walk 1 mile every day this week (weather permitting). I also need to cut down on my soda consumption and drink water instead. Hopefully there are a few more of you couch potatoes out there that will join us! Gonnadoit, Hubby and I watched KY derby also, then Nascar race was slated but it was just rained out. What are you going to do for exercise? It was an amazing race. I think StreetSmart was 19th and moved up to first! My husband has a friend that was at the race today. Was Mr. Ed in a race? We all need to follow his example and maybe we would have our extra rolls! I'm planning on helping my husband cut the grass today for exercise (it takes about 45 minutes). After that, I'm certain we'll be watching the Nascar race that was rained out last night. Happy exercising! Couch Potatos Unite! A couch potato's workout thread!

I walked at the park for 20 minutes. I had planned on doing 30 minutes every day, but I think that's a little more than I can handle right now. So, I'll stick with the 20 minutes for a week, and then try to do 30 minutes every day next week. It felt great to be able to walk and take DEEP breaths!!
