Hang in there, I've tried several times to quit also but it's time for me to quit for good and I know it will be hard, but I'm not giving up this time. I look at this way. If others can do it we can too. Right? Won't it feel good to finally kick the habit? :)

Welcome Mama G and congrats on your decision to stop smoking. You can make this one the forever quit. Those other attempts were just trials to help you learn what you needed to for this one! Come here often for support. We'll help in any way we can. MaMaG, Please just keep coming back no matter how many times it takes. This is where you need to be so please stay and post. Not everyone makes it on their first try. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 47 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 955 Amount Saved: $305.5 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 15 Mins: 31 Seconds: 15

This board has been wonderful for people who see quitting as a process more than a one-time event. While I have no doubt that everyone here really wants to quit, not everyone has the physical, mental, and emotional wherewithal to succeed at the first try, or even the first couple of tries. Far more important is their continued presence here, and their continued willingness to fight the good fight. peteg My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/30/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 189 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,471 Amount Saved: $1039.5 Life Gained: Days: 34 Hrs: 14 Mins: 13 Seconds: 3

Thank You Soooooooo Much! I plan on making myself a home here because I am an addict. I work a couple long days so I'll be in and out. Thank you again for all the support I am about to recieve while on this trecherous journey to becoming smoke-free. I'm seriously looking forward to getting my life back! My new QUIT DATE is on Friday and although I'm still smoking, it is a fraction of what it was but I'm still puffing... My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: -3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

Don't give up giving up! I attempted to quit at least a dozen times since finding this site 8 months ago. So many times I felt it was not possible to quit smoking but I could not give up wanting it badly. Not fun having a dozen or so "hell weeks". Keep your goal right in front of you. Come to this site often.
