I am also celebrating day 4

I feel so good. Today is my day 4 of the beginning of my new life as a non-smoker. What I found really interesting is that I have not smoked 110 cigarettes, that alone means I have gained 550 minutes or 9hrs and 10min of extra time to do stuff that I want to do. I think it is really neat. I am so proud of myself and my hubby who is quitting with me My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 110 Amount Saved: $17 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 10 Mins: 22 Seconds: 55

Hi I'm new!

Hello, and congratulations on your decision to quit. I am a cold turkey quitter. I had tried NRT previously and always gone back to smoking. What I have been going through so far that I think might or might not be different than with NRT is I sleep like a baby at night, I used to get about 6 hours of sleep, now it is 8 or 9 hrs a night. At first, I was very very lost, like my brain went in slow motion for a while. I have heard about changing your routine but the one thing that I cannot change is my 2 cups of coffee in the morning, I must have them. Then I drink about a gallon of water throughout the day. This site is the best place you could have come, there is always someone listening to you and ready to help you out. Keep up the good work My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 332 Amount Saved: $42.5 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 0 Mins: 18 Seconds: 39

Hello!

Congratulations to you and your husband. I am fairly new to this group and everyone makes you feel like you are part of a big family. And by the post I have read they stick with you through the good and bad, which is a wonderful thing. I am also quitting with my husband, you say that you have been using suckers, well for me it is water. I have never in my whole life drank so much water. But at least our new addictions are not harmful. 14 DAYS smoke free benefits

Hello Viola, Congratulations on your accomplishments. I am glad to see that I am not the only one with sleeping problems. My hubby is on the patch and he complains he cannot get a good night of sleep. On the other hand, I did it cold turkey and I am getting 2 to 3 hours of extra sleep a night. I feel I am sleeping my life away too, but let's face it, we are starting a new journey and I believe it is just one step towards success. THREW HIM OUT!!!

Good for you slivers. January 1-2007 was the beginning of my new life,as a non-smoker, it is the best life you could imagine. I had tried in the past to quit several times, but always went back to old NIC. This time is different, my reason for doing it are different, this time there is no going back. Hey Gang...007 Quitters How are we feeling?

Hey, Aunt Deb I am a January 01-2007 quitter, and really proud of it. I had tried to quit in the past with no success, but this time is different. I am doing it for myself and for health reason. I have seen the devastating effects of COPD and it is very scary. I do not want to get old and be hooked to an oxygen machine. This is why I am quitting. The cravings have been fairly easy to handle, water has become by best friend, I probably drink over a gallon of it in a day. That's okay it is good for me.
