Welcome to the Family, Tony!
And many thanks to txteacher for asking what a "lorry" was, I had no idea either. LOL
Good luck Tony!

Kaitilina and DuneDad,
Sounds like you are both off to a great start! Stay focused, read lots here at SSC and know that we're all here to help and learn from each other!
Congrats,

You've got the right attitude Mookie! Just continue to tell yourself you will take this one day, one hour, one moment at a time. Hang on tight and read, read, read here at SSC. We're all here fighting the same battle.
Strength to you,
Debbie

Thanks everyone!
I appreciate the clarification of terms. It makes sense to me now and I will now recognize a trigger for what it is and stop it in its' tracks. (Almost sounds like I'm hunting bear or something, huh?) Yesterday we took my son to see the Wiggles Live and it was a 3 hour drive by car so I occupied myself with Nintendo, magazines and a great book BUT every daggone car that we passed had someone smoking in it! I was amazed! And I couldn't help looking at them, their face, their hands, etc. I'm not sure what I was looking for but I couldn't tear myself away. Ah, the joy of the quit!

Butterfly Swimmer,
I am really new to the site and have only 17 days behind me. And of course, I'm not real good at doing what I'm told so I continued to read your post even when you told me not to. By the time I got to the end, tears were rolling down my cheeks. My heart aches for you at this point of your quit. I've read a lot of old posts and from what I read, the journey is never really over. We may find ourselves on a beautiful stretch of road for a while but the potholes, mud wallows and ice covered paths are still ahead. Maybe not as severe as in the beginning but we must always be on guard for these things.
Your posts have been an inspiration to me and lots of others here on this site.
I don't know if I made my point or not(concentration is not my strong point right now) but I've read how hard you've worked to get where you are and I would hate for you to throw that all away now. Please think long and hard before you make a hasty decision that you will regret very quickly. Sending you strength and courage!
Hugs,
Debbie

I launched the program, it says I'm logged in but where am I? I've allowed pop-ups for this site. Is there something else I need to do? Sorry, I just can't figure this out! But it says I'm logged in, giggles!

Hello Penguin,
I'm still just a newbie here but this is far from my first quit. I understand your fear of "failing." But each time we "fail" we learn a little more about ourselves and that helps us prepare for the next challenge we face. And I totally agree with you!!!! Picking up that cigarette and lighting it is the EASIEST thing to do! So please don't put yourself through the limbo of today is the day, no, tomorrow is the day, etc. We're all here on this website for the exact same reason. Sending patience and strength your way!

Hello all!
I've been working on this darn computer for the last two days trying to rid it of a nasty little virus that found a home here. I think all is now well but have nearly lost my mind not being able to read and post here at SSC.
My quit is still strong but a horrible day at work yesterday and this computer virus almost pushed me over the edge! BUT I surrounded myself with my tools and self-talk and made it through! Now I just need to catch up on all the posts!
Life is good,
Debbie
