I've done it again

Super, I'm sad to hear that you are going through a very rough patch! But happy to hear that you haven't given up on quitting! I know very few people who are successful on their first attempt, they do exist though! Most of us are all in the same boat, try, try and try again. Trust me when I say, you are not wasting your time trying to rid yourself of one of the nastiest addictions I know! Stay strong, stay here at SSC and take advantage of all the resources you have to keep your quit strong and healthy! Three times better be a charm

Welcome to the SSC, gottadoit!!! You have just made the most important decision of your life, congratulations! This site is full of caring people who understand exactly what goes on when you no longer fill your body with nicotine. I've spent a lot of time here reading posts, new and old. There's a lot of good advice in these posts. Also use the resources to the left, work the program, post when you need to and read, read and read some more! Educate yourself on what to expect as you withdraw and prepare yourself for those craves. Arm yourself with everything you've got! You sound like you know that now is the time to begin this journey! Remember you will never be alone, everyone here knows this addiction is tough BUT we can rid ourselves of it! Stay strong and protect your quit! And never forget how wonderful those 28 smoke free days were!! Ooh Im strugglin

Hang in there Super! I understand the inability to concentrate! I got several books to read instead of smoke in the beginning of my quit. WRONG! Couldn't concentrate enough to make it through a page! Reading is definitely out! I've been using my sons Gameboy and playing mindless games. Time really passes quickly. The only problem is when he wants his game back and mommy gets kind of snippy about it! Sad but true. LOL Hang in there, use that extra ounce of energy to push on through these next few days! Breath deep, post, read posts here (I didn't have any trouble concentrating on reading here, LOL) and ask for a hand when you need it. We're all here for you as well as ourselves! Be Strong!!!! You can do this! Thank you to...

Dutch, Thanks for all your help with my quit, you probably didn't even realize you pulled me up when I was down. No matter, I'm appreciative of your support and thank you from the bottom of my heart! I hope you and Jimmy are having a blast being back together and smoke-free! I'm still giggling over the picture of the "twister game!" Enjoy your man and check in when you have time. I don't expect to hear from you any time soon!
