Alexander,
It sounds like you have a good plan in place but please don't let alcohol get in the way!!!!! Stay strong, enjoy your night out! If temptation rears its ugly head, remember, distract, delay, avoid or remove yourself from the situation.
Life is good.
Debbie

Hi Treyya,
I just read your original post and the rest of this thread. Don't know how I missed it yesterday, anyway.....Congratulations on your decision to quit! It's the hardest thing I've ever done BUT I've never done anything I've been more proud of!!!
Our stories are a lot alike except you figured out you needed to quit much earlier in your life than I did! Good for you! I've had some of the same withdrawal junk that you have, especially the nose thing. Mine did eventually feel normal again in about a week or so. My husband is still smoking also and I just deal with that as it comes.
Hang in there and use all the resources here on the SSC. We are all in this together!
Life is good!
Debbie

I'm so happy for you Kaitilina! Don't you feel proud that you made the right decision? I do understand about those terrific bonding times with the girlfriends! I've not yet had to face that situation but hearing how you handled it will give me a heads up! Be very proud of yourself!

So glad you are still with us Penguin! You should be very proud of yourself for pushing through that rough moment and coming out on the other side triumphant and powerful! Whether we smoke or not, those moments will always be part of life and we just have to keep trying to get through them without that darn demon!
And it's funny that you said you went to bed to "hide"!!! Since the beginning of my quit, I go to bed much earlier than when I was smoking and I tell myself that it's because I'm "tired" but deep in my heart I know that going to bed will keep me and my quit safe! Isn't it crazy how we can rationalize this nutty behavior that we call our quits?????
Anyway, congratulations to you for pushing through! And don't forget, we're all here for you!
Debbie
