Hi Glaze,
Firstly, Congratulations and Welcome!!!
4 days is great!!
To answer your question though, you hopefully will feel better very soon. You are in hell week, and it is named that because it is hell, for the first week. It usually starts to lighten a bit after that.
Please remember that everybodys quit is unique.
You are doing great by refraining yourself from running out the door and buying a pack!! Keep it up!!

Oh man, Mummy!! I thought you'd been in my house at nighttime!! ;p That is the story that I go through as well.
It is very difficult with more than one young child at hand. Many people forget just how demanding little ones are. I am here with you though. I have a 7 yr old, and my youngest just turned 4 two weeks ago. I listen to me battle both of them, and then listen to them battle eachother.
Deep breathing is a life saver. Not only for cravings, but stress too. I also signed up for a Pilates class. Once a week, the hubby has to watch the kids for 1 hour. That is the ONLY me time I get.
A hot bubble bath sounds nice. Maybe take up some sewing, or needle crafts, or any other crafts to keep your hands busy. A nice way to introduce your veranda back into your life, without smoking that is.
Take care. You are doing a great job!! I promise, it will get better!!

That is great Cuddles!! Keep it up!!
I joined a Pilates class about 3 weeks ago. Though I only go once a week right now, I am loving it!! It is something I have never expierenced. And not to mention, the only time I am kid-free!!!
These class are wonderful for the mind. I would recommend them to everybody!!

Oh how I can relate!! My hubby and I quit together. It was his idea. I just went along with it, for him. But that quickly changed. I grew into my quit. I accepted and embraced it, and now, here I am. My hubby unfortunately, did not make it past 3 weeks before he put Nic back into his body.
Now, he can't find his willpower to kick him out again. He will, but on his own time.
I found out the hard way how resentful I became. I posted here because I didn't realize how harmful my feelings could be. I still have a hard time dealing with the fact that I am inside this house catering to my 2 young kids, after a hard long day, and he is outside, in the garage with our neighbors, drinking beer and smoking, and socializing. I wish he could spend time with us inside. But he can't. When I smoked, I was outside with him as well. But now, I can only manage a few minutes outside with them, and I come back in. But I still get upset that I am still working by myself and he is outside having a good time......................
Anyhow, I have to stop thinking that way.
Each persons quit is his own. You have to own your own quit. Stand firm in your quit, and let your quit be an inspiration to your hubby. Show him that you CAN do it. And remember how damanging smoking is to your body. Know that you will be changing that. You will be taking back your life. Just making the commitment on July 5th is a step. And that is how we all got here. One step at a time. One foot in front of the other.

Lady,
You have nailed it for me. H.A.L.T. is almost how I feel everyday - that is if I let myself. It is much to easy to take the H.A.L.T. road, instead of the long one.
I let things get to me and then it was just a spiral affect from there. It all began first thing this morning and instead of controlling my emotions, I allowed them to control me
What a true statement. If I allow myself to lose control of my emotions, I will be in a spot that I didn't want to be in. Some days I just give up, and let that H.A.L.T. control me, but for the most part, I am very good at controlling my thoughts and feelings.
I've always believed in the fact that it does take energy to be miserable. I've told people over and over again that I do not have the energy to hate anything.
Take care of yourself Lady. You are a great role model. Protecting our quits will be a life long job. Each and every day that you grow stronger emotionally, brings you that much strength to gain control back.

Ex-slave,
I too remember that feeling in the beginnning of my quit as well. It does go away. My smoking thoughts now just breeze by most of the time.
Take it easy. Be kind to yourself. Distract your thoughts. The more you dwell on the thoughts, the more power you give to them. Then, of course, it will feel endless. Force yourself to think of other things.
Keep us posted. And do not smoke. You'll just have to go through this again.
6 days is a great accomplishment!! Congratulations!! Have you thought of your one week reward???
