I wonder how long before she trusts your quit. I sure hope soon, because trust is so important in a relationship. I certainly can understand your catch 22 situation. I went through that myself with my hubby when I was "closet" smoking. I would see the look on his face after I 'snuck" one. He wouldn't say anything, but the not talking about my smoking put a stain on our trust. It feels awesome to have a clear conscience doesn't it? I love not having to sneak around.
On the other hand good thing you have her to help keep you on the staight and narrow. It's great when we have support, some people here don't have much of it at home. redrosie

Great advice Neek, just what I was going to say. lol.
I'm sorry your not feeling up to celebrating your quit Sunflower. Think of how hard you have worked to get here. You deserve this reward. I'm sure hubby will understand. He must be so proud of you. You said your moods have been good up until now, 1 grumpy day is nothing. Some of us have been grumpy everyday!!lol. You can have as many bad days as you want, this is hard work, but you're doing it! Enjoy your meal and your hubby. You're doing great. redrosie

I understand what you mean now. I've tried racking my brain to offer some more help for you,(ow,It hurts)lol. but the only other thing not mentioned is mouthwash. But even that wont help you if it's coming from inside. Maybe a quick trip to the Doctors' is in order if it doesn't go away soon. Either way have a great 1 month smoke-free weekend. I TOTALLY agree with Lady. I still haven't had a drink since New Years. I don't want to put myself in a situation where I won't be in FULL control of my quit. If you can not avoid this situation, please tell everyone with you about your quit and ask them to be your backup consciene. Good friends will make sure you don't smoke. Protect you quit, it's still a newborn. redrosie

You are on the right track Bill. I'm so glad you are keeping up on this. You sound like you are ready. Make sure you are replacing your "garbage" with something else. Mints, candy, carrot sticks, it really helps. So much of this addiction is an "oral" thing. You need to satisfy that end of things too. Keep going Bill, we're all rootin for ya!! Pace the halls, suck coffee, kick a garbage can! Whatever it takes to get you through. It's only 1/2 an hour now. You are getting through this without a cigarette!! Keep typing, keep pacing. I KNOW you won't let anyone done especially yourself. redrosie

Hi Kaiser Hang on tight buddy. Are you at home or work? Do not leave. Do not go to the store or bum a smoke. Because of time differences I'm not sure how long you have to wait to get your answer as to what is going on. 1 hour? You can get through this without a smoke!!! Go over to the Ash Kicker post and strut your stuff. Our list is not so big any more. We DO NOT want to lose you too!! Keep Close and stay Strong, you will work this out. redrosie
