DAY 70 FOR ME TOMORROW

Hey Sunshine, I know what you mean. I posted before how I will need one of those striped old-fashioned suits with the leggings when I hit the beach! ;p I'll almost be able to double as a beach umbrella! :eg: redrosie My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 79 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,917 Amount Saved: $655.7 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 18 Mins: 46 Seconds: 38

Tail Between my Legs - Needing some help

Hi Zookie, You may not have been here much lately, but you came when you needed help and that's the main thing. You have recognized that something is wrong in your quit and I think that must be the first step towards fixing it. By what I get from your post(o.k. at work, sad after), there may be other pressures causing you to think about smoking. Think of how many good times and bad you have gone through without a cig. You KNOW you don't really want one. You are just looking for something to replace this sadness. Cigs won't do that. Keep Strong and come visit us more, you WILL get passed this. I Made A Promise So Here I Am...Help Please!!

phreaknbz and Hyriel1 Thanks for your responses. phreaknbz I am feeling much more solid in my quit again. I'll tell ya, you really can't let your guard down because your feelings really get banged around on this journey. Lots of new emotions to sort through and maybe some old ones to get rid of. I am almost 43 also and I hear you on the wrinkles! We really should have stopped smoking before they had a chance to make themselves comfortable on our faces right? ;p Yes, on with our quits!! Onward!!! Hyriel1, Thanks for your kind words, and congrats on your decision to have a smoke-free life. Hang Tough, you CAN do this. Rd Man The Quit and all the Stories

Hi Phillip and everyone else!! The doctor has recommended us quitters need some more levity in our lives so he sent me this along with instructions to have at least 5 good belly laughs a day. A guy goes to a girl's house for the first time, and she shows him into the living room. She excuses herself to go to the kitchen to make them a few drinks, and as he's standing there alone, he notices a cute little vase on the mantel. He picks it up, and as he's looking at it, she walks back in. He says "What's this?" She says, "Oh, my father's ashes are in there." He goes, "Geez...oooh....I..." She says, "Yeah, he's too lazy to go to the kitchen to get an ashtray." Top Signs You Should Quit Smoking..... You spend more standing time outside of your office building than the landscaper does. You're no doctor, but "Cancer of the Cancer" doesn't sound like good news You've convinced yourself that tobacco counts as a serving of vegetables No takers for your new invention, the Shower Ashtray Everyone have a great day!!!
