Looking good at 80

Kaiser you keep on bragging, you deserve to. It's been a long bumpy road but it's been sooo worth it. So just put some ice on that arm and pat yourself everyday.(on the back) lol. It's been great having you with me on this journey. Hi! I'm ready to go crazy

Hi Daff_o_dills, I'm glad you're still hangin' in there. I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband. I can't imagine life without mine. You certainly have got yourself stocked up on the lozenges!!LOL. It's always good to be prepared. I'll tell you that "bumping" is when you take a post that is further done the list and reply to it to bring it back up to the top. This is also how you bring up older posts for newer members. As to your I.M. question, I'm not really sure why more members don't use it regularily. I only ever used it once myself. This way is better for me as I like to see what everyone has to say. This rose is telling this daffodill to Stay Strong. Hello, I have Failed again

Hi tnranger, welcome. If you really want to quit this is the site for you. There are great tools on the left that are very helpful. Nothings better than seeing that meter climb! Also there is some very helpful, nice people here who will reach out to you whenever you need help, praise or just have a question about this process. Read the posts, very informative. Set a date for yourself and get prepared and informed. It is possible to beat this, and you will feel awesome about yourself. Coffee or Tea

Hi Lucy. I am a tea drinker at home, but I love Tim Hortons coffee. I felt that having a coffee at the beginning of my quit would trigger bad cravings for me because I associated having a cig with it so strongly, so I gave it up for about 3 weeks. You may find that you have to change your morning and daily routines until you are further along. Remember to protect your quit as much as possible, whatever keeps your quit is what is better for you. :) redrosie My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 80 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,929 Amount Saved: $664 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 19 Mins: 56 Seconds: 58

Threads "How I Became Smoke Free" Parts 1-4

Hi pyromate, I hear your frustration but I think that e-mail addresses are deleted for our own protection. At any given time there can be hundreds of people on this site. You probably don't want them all to have this info. When people want to exchange e-mails they go to the I.M. and add this person to their list. Once there you can have a private conversation. So please feel you can still answer peoples posts. Threads "How I Became Smoke Free" Parts 1-4

I read the "fine print" fully before I signed on to this site. Since this is the first site I have ever been a part of and the first time I have participated in an on-line chat forum I was extremely cautious as to how my privacy was being affected. I know that there is also a business end to this site, but my "business" on this site is to have a quit that I will have and keep forever. So far this site has worked great for me and if I am part of "anonymous clinical data", then that is the fee that I will pay.
