So, we're all coming up on 2 months on various dates in February (except for Smokefree2 who already passed the 2 month anniversary YAY SMOKEFREE2!!!)
I just want to take a minute to see how everyones doing...though Im sure we all know how brents doing since hes everywhere all the time!! ;)
Who is cold turkey, and who is (still) using NRTs? I am still on the patch I will be stepping down to stage 2 tomorrow...Im not worried though...Ill be fine till I take it all off and jump into the nicotine-free pool!!!
How is everyone doing with cravings? Mine seem to hit hard (still) everyday at work, are almost none-existent at home, and are manageable when I am out with smokers (including my mom).
How has everyones mood changed (if applicable)? I find myself getting so ANGRY sometimes! At my boss, at the masses of people getting on and off the train, at people who cough or sneeze around me. Lots of inner anger. I suppose I should find a proper outlet for it one day.............but for now I just imagine a lot of nose-punching and stairs-pushing!! Im glad people cant read my mind sometimes!
How does the nicodemon try to tempt you? He tells me all the time that I can have just one, that it wont hurt, that I miss it and deserve it. Just one. Thats all.
Lastly, hows everyones eating habits? I have recently joined Weight Watchers and am currently eating lots of pickles as snack food (2 jars in like 3 days!!). If I werent getting married in October (have to go dress shopping soon) I think I would still be eating all the chips, dip, chocolate and buttery popcorn available in the supermarket!! I now fantasize more about stuffing my face with junk food than I do about smoking!!
If theres anything else youre curious about, ask away. I just may answer :p
We are all so great! Yay Breakers!!
Lucy
lol - too true...is there an online forum I can join that deals with SSC addicts? ;p
#18 You actually get angry when your boss asks you to do some work because you were RIGHT in the middle of reading one of Darkmyer/Duffis' posts!!

Hmmm...i just read over what i wrote yesterday, and my point is somewhat unclear...that's what i get for trying to respond right before i left work for the day!!
My point - if i still have to fight off the "just one" thoughts, even AFTER all that i have read and studied and prepared for, i can't even IMAGINE having the strength to go through this with NO plan in place!
The cravings and thoughts and wants WILL come. No-one can fight them off but you.

Hang in there - it will get better...the thoughts will still come, but not as often...i barely thought about smoking at all yesterday =)
Post here, read over old posts, check your list of reasons to quit, drink water, chew gum/hard candy, breathe deep...by the time you've done all that a couple times it will be time to go home!!

Hi moonwater,
Your story sounds a little like mine...I smoked for 12 years and quit using the patch...this site is a lifesaver.
Congrats on your decision, and welcome.
