Hi Shadowkins: I used to have restless leg syndrome - usually my left leg. I rarely get it now. Clonazepam was prescribed for me. I didn't have to take it every night, just when the leg was bothering me. At first it was almost every night, tapered off to 2-3 times a wk., then a couple of times a month, until finally, I don't remember the last time. I used it for about a yr. in all. I never felt anything with this med. except a deep relaxation so I could sleep. No side effects except a bit groggy in the a.m. No problem stopping at all. So hope this helps with your worry a bit.
Anerol: if you are using distraction, that's o.k. Sounds like something is starting for you, something positive. Are you challenging your negative thoughts and using positive self-talk? Good for you! That is definitely a step forward if you are staying in the building for longer periods.
Davit: this is not related to any thread - but just had to say "WOW!" what a beautiful pic. I love it, I really do. I love the white blaze on the horse. I love everything about it. When I was young, I used to save all my babysitting money so I could go horseback riding. My mother had her own horse, lucky woman. She wore jodphurs and little ankle boots. Can you imagine? Grandfather would shine him all up for Sunday and she would ride him around visiting for the day.
Good luck Mickeylover with starting your goals this week. We're cheering for you and are here as Davit says, good or bad. Post as much as you want and ask questions. I'm glad you are excited to be starting.
I am so happy for you and your family. You are an inspiration for others - a positive affirmation of this program to others that, yes, they can do it too. Congratulations! Way to go! Yay!
Thanks for the compliments re: toadhouse. I had quite a time trying to load the pic, and it isn't the one I like best.
Red: thought of your photos and how good you are - not easy getting what I want - need to try and frame the shot better without so much background and there must be a way to crop photos which I haven't learned yet.
Davit: Yes, I have seen them in wood. The entrance should be approx. 4" x 4" or so for the big toads and maybe 3 x 3 for smaller. The base approx. 7 in. wide at the bottom and anything from 4" to 7 in. high. I've read to place the door facing south and add a saucer of water near the entrance. These toadhouses are placed in the shady areas of garden, etc.
Today I have a dr.s appt. which I don't fear, but didn't get a good night's sleep just thinking of it - and another dr.'s appt. tomorrow which I do feel anxious about, which is probably the one that did cause the anxiety and sleeplessness. As you can guess I dislike going to the dr.s for anything. I've always gone without missing appts. but I've never liked it. That place is still associated with all the bad times, the ekgs, the really bad chest pains, the high pressures and so on. So, relaxation tapes, techniques and breathing for me tonight and lots of positive thoughts.
