Good one Bent, uh, Brent (so sorry) I love those books. Got one for my son called Mr. Uppity......um, sigh, twenty something years ago but still have it. Always like a good laff, mate. Your humor is much appreciated (gasp, cough.)
NOPE,Janet

I had an urge today. I had a thought about smoking. Instead, went downtown for Starbucks and walked hills. I haven't been able to walk hills for several decades (how many? don't ask)because I smoked. I will NEVER ever ever let the nicodemon win. It was so cool (actually fabulous is a better adjective but hate to get carried away or awesome, the adjective of choice by the young) to walk all over town without being winded and soooo strong from going to the gym. Started a yoga class Friday. Plus the barista at Starbucks was so mesmerized by my radiance, he gave me a pound of coffee for the half pound price.....true story. Or maybe it was wacky tobbacky and not my radiance....who knows. I like my version.
OK, I am certifiably obnoxious.....nothing worse than a reformed smoking couch potato. Who cares, I'm very healthy and loving it!
One is too many and 1,000 is not enough.
Stay strong and close all you newbies........it is so worth it.
Janet
P.S. Lady, I don't believe you REALLY wanted to dance on the deck with the nicodemon. Tell me you were dreaming. I'm five days away from six months. YESSSSSSSSSSS

That's a tough combo, Mo, trouble with the kids and a smoking hubby with cigs a reach away. I couldn't do it. God bless you, you are back!

I, ummmmm (blush), would like to retract the last paragraph from the above post. All of the truly wonderful people at this site have helped me thru this process of quitting and I am eternally grateful. I could never have done it without the help here. I wrenched my back earlier today...no excuse for being bit$#y...sorry. There is always someone here to reach out when you need it and we are way more tough and funny and wise than whiny.....
Stay close and be strong, newbies, just take it one day at a time and it's doable :)

That's a big ten four good buddy.....the smoke/drink combo can be way too pleasant. I gave up the chardonny for diet iced green tea. This is NOT a recommendation, simply a healthy alternative. I did not have issues with alcohol.
