Having a really hard time here!

Hi Lucy,
How long I said, "Just cut back for now, you can have a couple, start next week." Forty two years of this bull  and now quiting is  "having a really hard time here" and you know you've done some serious damage to your body. Don't do what I  have done. You (we) can do this!!

Set quit date today

Congratulations Theresa on setting your quit date! The Chantix had the same effect on me as Daily Llama. Smoking was not so hot by the time my quit day arrived!   If quitting is very important to you as you stated. You will stop. In my case it has to be at the top of my list (all the time). With a positive approach it is much easier. We are really giving up nothing but a horrible addiction while gaining a whole new healthier lifestyle. Stick with your commitment! We all will be standing by to encourage and support you!

Trying Again

Hi Tammy,
We're all in agreement. The first puff gets us every time! My attitude this quit is much more positive. I want to be among the ever -growing group of non-smokers. I thought I was cool when I started to smoke. I felt like such a fool until I quit. If you really want to do this you will. You are not "trying again," You quit! The SSC  is loaded with success stories. Yours will be one!

That is the big ONE! Never made it there on previous quits but hope to this time. I'm almost half-way there(amazing)!
Time really does fly with a positive attitude. Keep us posted! We need the big ONES (as you said) to inspire the rest of us to keep quiting!
