Thanks Denise,
I can identify with you on your smoking and quitting experience. I see the SSC as a lifeboat for all of us here.
Best of luck in school!

Cameless, you may steal my thunder any time you choose, with stats and information for all. We're all here for each other, and I'm happy to oblige.

I too used Chantix, and I feel like I would not be where I am without it. My husband says "it's different this time" becuase of course I have tried before. I am now quit longer than ever before, and feel like this is truly my forever quit, but maybe wouldn't be without the Chantix. It helped me be MUCH more calm, relaxed, and not a Tasmainian Devil!  The really nice thing about it is that if I felt a crisis, I could pop a half tab or even a whole one, and not be introducing nicotine back into my system.  If it were a choice between some Chantix or smoking, I would not even hesitate to take some Chantix. It's magic. Someone said they had horrible withdrawals from it, but I took it for almost 5 months and didn't have any side effects at all when I stopped, so it must be an individual thing.

Hugs, Denise
