We're expecting a pretty good snow here in Connecticut today. Its nice not to have to worry about running out of cigs or risking life and limb having to drive somewhere to get some. The last thing I want to do this weekend is smoke.
Hanging in there with all of you!

I'm marching much better today thanks to improved lung capacity. I can identify Jim. Over 10,000 not smoke in 400 days! All the good time I wasted puffing on those nasty weeds!

I'm not much of a poster here. I can't add much to everyone else's great advise. However, speaking from my own experience it was always not the right time to quit for some reason. As someone pointed out, the longer you smoke the more addicted you become and the harder it becomes. I quit my senior week in high school. If only I toughed it out then! This year I will attend my 40th high school reunion and look forward to sitting with all the non-smokers this time! If I can do this, you can too!

Hi Peanut! Good move working through the program. Those who seem to have the easiest time quiting are the ones who best prepared before. This is not easy but sure worth it. The SSC will definately help you along. Give it your best shot!

Funny, I loved smoking! However, I hated what smoking was doing to me and those arround me.I'm taking others into consideration these days.
I quit plenty of times but always looked at what I was giving up, not at all the wonderful benefits I was gaining. This is a horrible addiction, but as you can see there is a whole lot of us hanging in there one day at a time. We can support your efforts but true desire to do this has to come from within you!
We do care, you can do this!

Congratulations Dave! I bet you take that Impala to all the cruises! My first car was a Belair that year (61?). My Grandfather bought it new and it was mint when he gave it to me. It was like a family member! I'd love to have it back today as my non-smoking reward!
Keep up the great quit!
